I swore I wasn’t going to write bout the coronavirus today but the insane people of the democratic party leave me no choice. The Mayor of Champaign, Illinois just signed an emergency executive order over the coronavirus hysteria that gives her the power to ban the sale of firearms and ammunition in the city. Leave it those crafty liberals to find a way to exploit a pandemic to push their unconstitutional gun control agenda.
Here’s a particularly terrifying thing from WAND 17:
Champaign Mayor Deborah Frank Feinen has issued an executive order declaring an emergency in the city.
City officials said the emergency is related to the COVID-19, which is anticipated to cause an impact on the health of community members. Champaign Municipal Code allows the mayor to declare an emergency for a limited time.
Included in the executive order are ordinances that would give the city extraordinary powers to the Mayor.
Violating parts of the Open Meetings Act
Ban sale of firearms and ammunition
Ban sale of any alcohol
Closing of all bars, taverns, liquor stores, etc
Ban sale or giving away of gasoline or other liquid flammable or combustible products in any container other than a gasoline tank permanently fixed to a motor vehicle
Direct the shutoff of power, water, gas, etc
Take possession of private property and obtain full title to same
Prohibit or restrict ingress and egress to and from the City
So because the liberal media is making a big deal out of a flu-like virus as a way to get President Trump, the Mayor of Champaign can ban guns and steal people’s personal property? How does that make a damn bit of sense? Plus, no booze? WTF?
“The executive order allows the city to be flexible to properly respond to the emergency needs of our community,” said City of Champaign’s Communications Manger, Jeff Hamilton.
The mayor of Champaign is supposed to be a non-partisan position but I looked up Deborah Frank Feinen and she’s most definitely a democrat. I’m sure that’s not too shocking considering what she did.
As it turns out, a memo went out to all liberals to find a way to link gun control to the coronavirus hysteria. Here’s Huffington Post writer Zach Carter getting things rolling:

If gun ownership rights and people getting sick from a communicable disease makes America such a failure, why doesn’t this guy just leave?
From there, Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey went full-stupid with this tweet:

It’s also easier to get meth than an AR-15. Does that mean we should make it easier to get AR-15s or harder to get meth?
Casey obviously forgot that, while there is a Constitutional amendment protecting the right to keep and bear arms, there is no such amendment guaranteeing the right to keep and bear coronavirus testing kits.
Nothing on the left happens organically, so clearly there was a meeting at Liberalism HQ where they hatched this plan to use the coronavirus as an excuse to disarm Americans. If you had coronavirus/gun control on the “Liberal Insanity” office pool, you just scored.
