When President Trump announced a travel ban from China in late January, democrats accused him of racism and xenophobia. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was one of those democrats sounding the alarm but now she thinks that Trump’s China travel ban didn’t go far enough. Apparently the “racist” travel ban wasn’t quite racist enough for Pelosi, which makes about as much sense as any other piece of revisionist history she pushes.

Pelosi was on CNN’s State of the Union when host Jake Tapper asked if she supported Trump’s travel ban.
“Well let’s go into the future, okay? Uh actually the, tens of thousands of people were still allowed in from China. It wasn’t as it is described as this great moment,” started Pelosi.
So talking about something that happened last January is “going into the future?” Pelosi is nuts.
“There were Americans coming back, Green Card holders coming back but there were tens of thousands so If you’re going to shut the door because you have an evaluation of an epidemic, then shut the door,” Pelosi said.
Pelosi’s glimpse into the future is a preview of her madness. Her theory is that Trump’s travel ban was meaningless because it didn’t include keeping American citizens from returning home. Can anyone imagine what would have happened if President Trump would have blocked Americans from coming back? Pelosi would have flipped her wig and dropped a load of Botox in her granny panties.
In fact, she did that anyways. President Trump banned travel from China on January 31. Just days before that Pelosi threatened to introduce legislation that would strip President Trump of his authority to enact travel bans.
“House Democrats continue to stand opposed to President Trump’s cruel, un-American travel ban in all of its iterations,” said Pelosi.
In late January travel bans were un-American and now Pelosi says Trump should have banned Americans from coming home. That’s a pretty stunning turnaround, even for someone as out of touch with reality as Nutty Nancy.
Equally as misleading is Pelosi’s claim that she would have backed a tougher China travel ban to stop the spread of the coronavirus. Here she is on February 24, almost a month after Trump’s China travel ban, bumping asses and swapping spit with people in SF’s Chinatown:
“It’s exciting to be here, especially at this time, to be able to be unified with our community. We want to be vigilant about what is out there in other places. We want to be careful about how we deal with it, but we do want to say to people ‘Come to Chinatown, here we are — we’re, again, careful, safe — and come join us,’” said Pelosi.
Pelosi later explained that she was in Chinatown, not staying at home or social distancing, to counter the “racism” of Trump’s China travel ban.
Most experts agree that Trump’s decision to ban travel from China early on helped slow the spread of the virus and saved many lives. Because the democrats have decided on a false narrative that Trump did nothing while this pandemic was allowed to rage across the country, Pelosi has go back in time, which she thinks is in the future, and rewrite history.
While President Trump was working hard to stop the coronavirus, democrats were working hard to impeach him for no particular reason. Pelosi single-handedly blocked and delayed coronavirus relief on two occasions. Now they are counting on people’s stupidity to erase the shameless way they downplayed the virus.
