In pushing to reopen the country, President Trump said many times the cure is worse than the disease, meaning forcing people to shelter-in-place could kill more people than the coronavirus itself. The liberal media attacked the president for this remark but, as usual, Trump was right. A hospital in the Bay Area of California is reporting far more suicides than coronavirus deaths. If you are keeping score at home, that makes 10,000 points for Trump and zero for the fake news industry.

Doctors at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek say they have seen more deaths by suicide during this quarantine period than deaths from the COVID-19 virus.
The numbers are unprecedented, he said.
“We’ve never seen numbers like this, in such a short period of time. I mean we’ve seen a year’s worth of suicide attempts in the last four weeks,” said Dr. Mike deBoisblanc.
Kacey Hansen has worked as a trauma nurse at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek for almost 33 years. She is worried because not only are they seeing more suicide attempts, she says they are not able to save as many patients as usual.
“What I have seen recently, I have never seen before. I have never seen so much intentional injury,” said Hansen. “They intend to die. Sometimes, people will make what we call a ‘gesture’. It’s a cry for help. We’re just seeing something a little different than that right now. It’s upsetting.”
Hansen and deBoisblanc say they are seeing mostly young adults die by suicide.They are worried about the stress that isolation and job loss can bring as this quarantine continues.
Who could have ever guessed that forcing people into poverty and isolation would cause depression and suicides? Oh right, President Trump saw this coming and the liberal media and democrats mocked him.
While much of the rest of the country is reopening, California remains locked down tight, even though the numbers don’t support it. The Golden State never got hit with the coronavirus like New York, but thanks to a group of fascist democrats calling the shots, the state is looking to make that up with suicides.
Liberals love to say that they are guided by science and listen to the doctors concerning lifting the coronavirus lockdown. Let’s see if Governor Gavin Newsome can hear this:
The head of the trauma in the department believes mental health is suffering so much, it is time to end the shelter-in-place order.
“Personally I think it’s time. I think, originally, this (the shelter-in-place order) was put in place to flatten the curve and to make sure hospitals have the resources to take care of COVID patients. We have the current resources to do that and our other community health is suffering,” Dr. deBoisblanc said.
I think what liberals really mean when they say listen to the doctors is: listen to the doctors as long as they are saying things that support their efforts to tank the economy and get rid of President Trump.
Speaking of which, after Dr. deBoisblanc and Nurse Hansen made these statements, the hospital they work for released a statement of their own. It basically says that the hospital still supports California’s lockdown and that their employees don’t speak for the entire organization.
The thing is, the state of California probably counts these suicides as COVID-19 deaths because they are technically coronavirus related. The state is then no doubt using these inflated numbers to justify extending the lockdown indefinitely.
