On July 3rd at Mount Rushmore, President Trump delivered what non-insane people consider to be a great speech on American history and heritage. Insane people, AKA liberals, called his speech “dark and divisive” adding the lie that the President spoke in support of the Confederacy. Democrat Tammy Duckworth ran with this lie saying Trump spoke in support of “dead traitors,” but the only people he mentioned by name were black heroes. It is now the official democratic party position that MLK, Fredrick Douglas, and Mohammed Ali were traitors.
Here’s Trump’s Mount Rushmore speech. I defy anyone, especially the liberal media and democrats to find the President mentioning the Confederacy or any Confederates:
Nope. No Confederates. Trump however did pay tribute to great black Americans like Frederick Douglass, MLK, Harriet Tubman, Jesse Owens, the Tuskegee Airmen, Louis Armstrong, and Mohammed Ali.
With that in mind, Senator Tammy Duckworth went on CNN to make an ass of herself. She was asked if she is in favor of tearing down George Washington statues and monuments. The correct answer is “hell no” but she went a different way:

“Let me just say that we should have a national dialog on it,” replied Duckworth.
It’s also a democratic party position that we should consider tearing down George Washington monuments. Somehow, Duckworth’s answer got worse:
“What really struck me about the speech that the President gave at Mount Rushmore was that he spent more time worried about honoring dead Confederates than he did talking about the lives of our Americans, 130,000 Americans who lost their lives to COVID-19 or by warning Russia off the bounty they are putting on Americans’ heads,” continued Duckworth.
Are there any living Confederates? Also, that was a lie. Also, this was speech for Independence Day, so it was about American history, not current events or whatever goofy made-up thing democrats are currently flipping out over.
Duckworth drive it all home by doubling down on her lie and faux outrage:
“His priorities are all wrong here. He should be talking about what we’re going to do to overcome the pandemic and what are we going to do to push Russia back. Instead, he had no time for that. He spent all the time talking about dead traitors,” Duckworth said.
As was already proven, Trump never mentioned Confederates (living or dead) but did honor great black Americans who are dead. And with that, Tammy Duckworth is saying that heroes like Frederick Douglas, MLK, and Mohammed Ali are “dead traitors.” Hopefully she files a grievance with the Congressional Black Caucus over this.
CNN host Dana Bash, let that bit of racism slide, but did press Duckworth on whether or not she believes George Washington monuments need to be destroyed.
“George Washington, I don’t think anyone would call him a traitor and there are moves, by some to remove statues of him. Is that a good idea?” Bash asked.
“I think we should listen to the everybody,” said Duckworth. “We should listen to to the argument there.”
I don’t know who “the everybody” are, but let’s assume Duckworth thinks that “yes” we should destroy all George Washington statues and monuments.
Yesterday, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy challenged democrats on their love of country and they responded by hating on America. Duckworth went on CNN to reaffirm her party’s position that “America sucks” with racist attacks against black Americans and by shitting all over our most important Founding Father.
President Trump never supported any “dead traitors” in his speech, but the democrats’ reaction has exposed them as living traitors.
