It’s Time To Fight Back

Yesterday, we celebrated the 244th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Those brave men who signed that document agreed to “mutually pledge to each other our lives, our property, and our sacred honor” to the cause of independence. All these years later, there are mobs in the street betraying the oath those men risked everything for. They seek a nation of co-dependence and control. They’re getting their way not because of their numbers or agreements; they’re getting it because our so-called leaders are standing down, waiting for them to grow up or burn out. They won’t. It’s time to fight back.

Friday night, President Trump delivered a rousing defense of America at the base of Mt. Rushmore. It was a great speech, an important and needed one, but it can’t be the end of it. It must be the beginning.

If it seems odd to you that America, the greatest, freest nation in the history of the planet, needs a defense, you are not alone. That it needs a defense from an enemy within is a testament to just how far behind the forces of good are.

The president’s speech is a Rorschach Test for the American public. Only a true enemy of the people could listen to a full-throated defense of American greatness and report it as “dark and divisive,” as the New York Times did. Or, as ABC News described, “Trump pushes racial division, flouts virus rules at the foot of Mount Rushmore.” Even before the speech, CNN framed the event as “President Trump will be at Mount Rushmore, where he’ll be standing in front of a monument of two slave owners and on land wrestled away from Native Americans.”

These aren’t differences of opinion. These are attempts to influence the election and offer cover for violence. The media are, as President Trump pointed out, enemies of the people. They don’t need to be defeated. They need to be destroyed. As does the mob. But how?

If a business is liberal, stop using them. If your favorite restaurant has liberal signs in their window or virtue signals all over their social media, find a new favorite restaurant. I get it: you love their food. So what? It’s a small price to pay for the country.

Stop watching the nightly news (this includes local news), CNN, or MSNBC. Cancel your subscription to any newspapers, and don’t click on links to their stories. You can see all the clips of the shows and important points from stories on social media without giving them the ratings or clicks. And don’t patronize their advertisers. The beast must be starved.

Don’t buy or rent their movies, download their music, or buy their books. You wouldn’t literally sell ammunition to your enemy, so don’t do it figuratively.

Washington Post Claims America Post-1776 Remains Part Of An Extended Global System Of White Supremacy

A Washington Post opinion piece published July 3 argues that American independence helped further colonialism and white supremacy. The op-ed contends, “As the country prepares to celebrate the anniversary of its formal declaration of independence from Britain on July 4, 1776, we must, once again, reckon with two dark historical truths.”

The first is the central paradox in U.S. history: The nation’s democracy was founded as a slave society. The second is that after cutting political ties with Great Britain, Americans doubled down on the British Empire’s project of colonial domination. The American Revolution inspired freedom movements in other parts the world (sic). But it also contributed to the worldwide spread of white supremacy.

The article analyzes US expansion, concluding that since 1776, the US did not spread liberty, but oppression. “When President Thomas Jefferson set the country on a path of westward expansion, he imagined an “empire of liberty” that would spread freedom across the continent and protect the nation from the “dangerous extension” of British power. But the growth of slavery and the “removal” of native peoples on the mainland were achieved by force, not consent.

Many Americans disagree, considering the pointed example of successful self-government that the United States has given to the rest of the world.

The piece is an attack on both the United States and Britain, “After America declared independence from Britain, both countries maintained powerful traditions of racism and violence that were distinct and interconnected. The Americans became agents of many of the same British ideas and practices that the colonists had challenged.”

The legacy of American Independence is this: “After 1776, the United States remained part of an extended global system of white supremacy — one that continues with deadly consequences today.”

Democrats’ New “Environmental Justice” Plan Mixes Climate With BLM

House Democrats released a plan for combating “climate change” this week, calling for the doctrine of “environmental justice” to figure prominently in American environmental policy.

The massive 547-page document was presented by Democrats on the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis. “Environmental justice must be at the center of federal climate and environmental policy,” it reads in the opening description of the pillars of the Climate Crisis Action Plan.

The document’s glossary describes “environmental justice” as:

The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, culture, national origin or income, with respect to the development, implementation and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations and policies to ensure that each person enjoys (1) the same degree of protection from environmental and health hazards; and (2) equal access to any federal agency action on environmental justice issues in order to have a healthy environment in which to live, learn, work, and recreate.

The document seeks to present a blueprint for the Democrat Party’s official climate-change policy, distinguishing it somewhat from the Green New Deal (GND) championed by professed socialists such as Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.).

The new plan is very similar to the Green New Deal, although it often takes a slower approach to the same goals. For example, while the GND calls for net-zero greenhouse emissions by 2030, Democrats plan moves the date back 20 years to 2050.

Like the GND, however, the new document advocates vast federal regulations on everything from infrastructure to building codes.

The Democrat program would also mandate that no automobile emit greenhouse gases from 2035 on, with a mandate on heavy trucks following in 2040. Democrats claim this would save 60,000 lives and $8 trillion due to health and climate benefits. “Democrats know the climate crisis is the essential crisis of our time, threatening public health, jobs and the economy, national security and values,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said at a press conference.

The previous Democrat agenda included several radical calls for climate action, though these were sidelined amid the COVID-19 pandemic and the George Floyd riots.

The new document mentions Floyd by name on its first page:

As some states began to slowly reopen at the end of May, the nation erupted in protest in response to yet another police killing of a defenseless African-American man, George Floyd. Throughout it all, President Trump failed to lead the country in a unified and compassionate response.

It goes on to discuss the intersection of race and climate, speaking on many occasions about “environmental justice communities,” defined as a community “with significant representation of communities of color, low-income communities, or tribal and Indigenous communities, that experiences or is at risk of experiencing higher or more adverse human health or environmental effects.”

While many aspects of this agenda would be unlikely to become reality so long as Republicans control the Senate, they could very well become law should Democrats win the Senate and White House in November.

Violent Crime Is Surging Dramatically In Major Cities All Over America

What we are witnessing all over the country right now is incredibly sad.  In the aftermath of the tragic death of George Floyd, it would have been wonderful to see the entire nation unite behind an effort to make our society less violent, more just and more peaceful.  But instead, we have seen a tremendous explosion of violence and lawlessness that doesn’t seem likely to end any time soon.  Violent crime rates are surging in major city after major city, and the 4th of July weekend was particularly bad.  At least 41 people were hit by gunfire in New York City during the holiday weekend, and this continues a trend that we have seen throughout the first half of 2020.  Just check out these numbers…

According to figures released by the New York Police Department, for the first six months of this year, there were 176 murders, an increase of 23 percent on the 143 killed during the same period last year.

The number of shooting victims has gone up 51 percent to 616 this year. In June alone, there were 250 shootings compared to 97 in the same month last year. Month-on-month, burglaries are up 119 percent and car thefts up 48 percent.

I don’t know which one of those numbers is the worst, because they are all quite horrific.

A tremendous amount of money has been shifted away from the NYPD budget, and that certainly isn’t going to help matters.  For years, the hard work of the NYPD had helped to make New York safer than many of our other major cities, but now that is changing at a pace that is absolutely breathtaking.  In fact, one British news source is now referring to the city as “lawless New York”…

Two bullet-ridden bodies lay sprawled on bloodstained concrete steps. Alongside, relatives of the victims are wailing and collapse to the ground. In another part of the city, a gang of youths use spray paint to disable security cameras before robbing a corner store. Later, video footage captures police officers sitting helplessly in their patrol car as a baying crowd hurls glass bottles at them.

This is lawless New York – a city that was once America’s glittering crown jewel but which risks descending into mob rule.

Of course New York still has a long way to go if it wants to rival Chicago.  According to authorities, there are more than 100,000 gang members living in Chicago at this point, and the violence never seems to stop.

Sadly, the last couple of days have been particularly bad.  Over the 4th of July weekend, at least 67 people were hit by gunfire in the Windy City…

At least 67 people were shot, including 13 fatally, over the Independence Day weekend in Chicago, according to authorities.

Nine of the weekend’s victims were minors, and two children died, officials told Fox32. That includes 14-year-old boy who was among four people who were killed in the South Side neighborhood Englewood on Saturday evening.

But instead of blaming the criminals, the Chicago Sun-Times seem to think that “cutting funding for police could lead to a better and safer Chicago”.

Seriously?

Do people actually believe such nonsense?

Georgia Governor Deploys National Guard After Atlanta’s Black Dem Mayor Loses Control

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp has moved to restore order by declaring an emergency and calling in the national guard to clean up the mess made by Atlanta’s Democrat mayor.

Kemp who is a Republican was like most people not affiliated with the Marxist-inspired Black Lives Matter movement and its media shills truly horrified when the violence that Keisha Lance Bottoms has unleashed claimed the life of an 8-year-old girl over the weekend.

The Democrat-sanctioned violence in Atlanta resulted in the tragic and unthinkable death of the child whose young life was cut short by a bullet in the vicinity of the burned-out Wendy’s fast food restaurant where Rayshard Brooks was killed by police in June.

The outrageous lack of outrage over poor Secoriea Turner who was felled by a bullet shows that black lives only matter when they can be exploited by Democrats and the media as a weapon against President Trump.

On Monday, Governor Kemp took decisive action to quell the violence that Atlanta’s incompetent mayor has allowed to spiral out of control.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) on Monday authorized deploying the state’s National Guard after a weekend of violence in Atlanta that included the fatal shooting of an 8-year-old girl.

Kemp declared a state of emergency in Georgia by signing an executive order to allow as many as 1,000 National Guard troops to deploy to Atlanta. The governor said the declaration came after “weeks of dramatically increased violent crime and property destruction” and gunfire over the Fourth of July weekend, leading to five confirmed deaths.

“Peaceful protests were hijacked by criminals with a dangerous, destructive agenda,” Kemp said. “Now, innocent Georgians are being targeted, shot, and left for dead. This lawlessness must be stopped and order restored in our capital city.”

“Enough with the tough talk. We must protect the lives and livelihoods of all Georgians,” he added.

To say that Mayor Bottoms’ performance since the video of George Floyd being killed by rogue Minneapolis cop has been a roaring dumpster fire is an understatement.

Bottoms who reportedly is on the shortlist to be Joe Biden’s running mate has spent more time on MSNBC and CNN fomenting racial animosity than she has in protecting the residents of her own city, most of who are living in fear while mobs run amok and she is at war with her own police.

To say that Mayor Bottoms’ performance since the video of George Floyd being killed by rogue Minneapolis cop has been a roaring dumpster fire is an understatement.

Bottoms who reportedly is on the shortlist to be Joe Biden’s running mate has spent more time on MSNBC and CNN fomenting racial animosity than she has in protecting the residents of her own city, most of who are living in fear while mobs run amok and she is at war with her own police.

Governor Kemp also has a job to do and clearly takes it more seriously than Bottoms, an ambitious former city council member who is angling to be the first female president in U.S. history if she is able to scam her way onto Biden’s ticket.

On the day that Kemp declared the emergency and called up the National Guard, Mayor Bottoms conveniently announced that she had tested positive for COVID-19 despite having no symptoms.

A media that already conducts itself as her personal public relations firm will now use her curiously timed announcement that she has coronavirus to immunize her against criticism for her complicity in the violence in the streets.

The death of an 8-year-old child may not be enough to earn her criticism from CNN but it could scuttle her chances of being selected by Biden and the DNC which already had to deal with her lack of national name recognition.

Chicago Mayor Says Fourth Of July Weekend Was ‘Mostly Peaceful’

CHICAGO, IL—Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot called this past Fourth of July weekend where 79 were shot in the city a “mostly peaceful” weekend at a press conference today.

“It was mostly peaceful, very calm, lots of people enjoying themselves, very fun,” she said. “Yes, there were a few run-of-the-mill murders and shootings, but hey. We just call that a Saturday here.”

“Other than the people getting shot on basically every block, it was largely calm and peaceful.”

Lightfoot also pointed out that most people who committed murders were practicing social distancing and wearing masks. “Encouraging” surveillance footage showed that Chicago’s murderers are using hand sanitizer and wiping their weapons down after each murder. “So, by that metric, I think it was definitely a success. We’re making a lot of progress on that front.”

She further stated that she suspects the murderers are actually paid Trump supporters trying to make her city look bad.
