President Trump tried to include a citizenship question in the census but democrats found a liberal activist judge to block that. The left argued that a citizenship question would scare away illegal aliens, leading to them being undercounted. Well, Trump went ahead and fixed that issue by signing an order banning illegal aliens from being counted in the re-drawing of voting districts. Problem solved. Illegal aliens will no longer be used to give liberal states more than their fair share of representation and power.

President Trump on Tuesday signed an executive order to prevent illegal immigrants from being counted for the purposes of re-drawing congressional districts after the 2020 census…
The order says that for the purposes of reapportionment, “it is the policy of the United States to exclude from the apportionment base aliens who are not in a lawful immigration status…to the maximum extent feasible and consistent with the discretion delegated to the executive branch.”
“There used to be a time when you could proudly declare, ‘I am a citizen of the United States.’ But now, the radical left is trying to erase the existence of this concept and conceal the number of illegal aliens in our country. This is all part of a broader left-wing effort to erode the rights of Americans citizens, and I will not stand for it,” said President Trump.
Census counts are used to determine the allocation of seats in the House of Representatives, the number of electors in the Electoral College and hundreds of billion dollars of federal spending.
The order cites estimates that “one state” (apparently referring to California) has more than 2.2. illegal immigrants, six percent of its population. It argues that, as a result, including illegal immigrants in the population for apportionment could result in the allocation of two or three more congressional seats than if they were not included.
Too bad Trump didn’t sign an order that bans counting idiots as well. California would lose most of their House seats and Electoral College votes.
“Today’s action to exclude illegal aliens from the apportionment base reflects a better understanding of the Constitution and is consistent with the principles of our representative democracy. My Administration will not support giving congressional representation to aliens who enter or remain in the country unlawfully, because doing so would create perverse incentives and undermine our system of government. Just as we do not give political power to people who are here temporarily, we should not give political power to people who should not be here at all,” said Trump.
Sounds reasonable to me. Democrats however are not happy (or reasonable) because they count on illegal aliens, not just for votes, but also power in the form of inflated representation. Here’s Nancy Pelosi predictably blowing out her Botox injections:
“The Census is a pillar of our democracy, enshrined by our Founders to ensure that all people who live in the United States, regardless of citizenship, are equally counted and represented. Yet, by seeking to exclude undocumented immigrants from being counted in the 2020 Census, the President is violating the Constitution and the rule of law,” said Pelosi.
What part of the Constitution says illegal aliens deserve representation? And for that matter, which of our Founding Fathers ever wrote or spoke about the importance of counting illegal aliens?
“Trump’s unlawful effort is designed to again inject fear and distrust into vulnerable and traditionally undercounted communities, while sowing chaos with the Census,” Pelosi said.
That’s Pelosi’s way of saying the democrats are going to sue Trump over this order. I’m sure they are already shopping for a friendly liberal activist judge to squash this thing.
Democrats aren’t willing to compromise on anything, but they’re especially stubborn when someone tries to take away people they think belong to them. When Republicans tried to take away their slaves they started a war and something similar will go down with Trump trying to take away their illegal aliens.
