Liberals love Dr. Anthony Fauci because they think he is the anti-Trump or something. Sports is no longer about sports, opting instead for a social justice kind of thing. To open the Major League Baseball season, Dr. Fauci threw out the first pitch and missed home plate by a mile, signifying how truly pathetic all sports are in this age of coronavirus and wokeness. This was clearly a harbinger of the disaster leftist politics will wreak on all professional sports.
Here’s Fauci throwing out the first pitch at the Washington Nationals/ New York Yankees game, kicking off the corona-delayed MLB season. As you can see, he sucks as bad at throwing as he does at predicting the coronavirus.

I don’t even know what that was supposed to be. Were they preemptively telling American to f*ck off? The kneeling “protest” has never made any sense and now even less so. My take away is that the players want to disrespect the flag without disrespecting the flag. Sorry, the only thing anyone who isn’t a lefty butthole got out of that is these players hate our country.

Over in the NFL where they will be playing the “black” nation anthem before games and letting players commemorate dead black criminals on their helmets, the artist formerly known as the Washington Redskins finally have a new name:

That doesn’t come close to fixing the beef liberals who don’t watch sports have with the team. George Washington was a slave owner and according to leftists, must be cancelled. They will eventually have to call themselves “City Football Team.”
The NBA is letting players change the names on their jerseys to “social justice” messages as long as they aren’t insulting to communist China, which means that all of the major sports are more interested in appearing like they care than attracting fans and viewers.
At least hockey, the whitest of all sports, isn’t bowing to this radical leftist crap. Then again…

Sports is supposed to be entertainment, at least to the fans. To the owners and players it’s a business. In going overboard with this social justice messaging, they are alienating fans who just want to be entertained, which will negatively affect league revenues. The only thing I can figure out with this nonsense is that sports is sad and wants to die.
