Democrats in Congress have blocked the next round of coronavirus relief with demands of checks for illegal aliens and socialist crap that doesn’t have anything to do with the pandemic. They know these are non-starters but have been unwilling to compromise and so the American people continue to suffer while they play politics. President Trump broke this democratic-manufactured stalemate by signing some executive orders to help give the people relief. This is a huge win for the President, delivered on a silver platter by silly democrats, so naturally they are spinning so hard it’s created a full meltdown.
On Saturday, Trump called the democrats’ bluff and made them look as horrible as they are:
President Trump signed four executive actions Saturday aimed at delivering relief to Americans struggling with the economic fallout of the coronavirus pandemic while accusing Democrats of stonewalling greater aid efforts.
Trump announced a $400-per-week supplemental unemployment payment to out-of-work Americans — short of the $600 weekly benefit that expired at the end of July. He unveiled an extension of student loan relief and protections from evictions for renters and homeowners.
Trump also issued a payroll tax holiday through the end of the year for Americans earning less than $100,000, while promising more relief if he wins a second term.
“Democrats are obstructing all of it. Therefore, I’m taking executive action … and we’re going to save American jobs and provide relief to the American workers,” said Trump.
The President even dared democrats to sue him to stop these EOs:
“If we get sued, it’s [from] somebody that doesn’t want people to get money. And that’s not going to be a very popular thing,” Trump said.
And speaking of unpopular things, democrats imploded. On ABC’s This Week, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer cried that Trump’s orders were “unworkable, weak and far too narrow.”
“The event at the country club is just what Trump does: a big show but it doesn’t do anything. As the American people look at these executive orders they will see they don’t come close to doing the job,” Schumer added.
When asked by host George Stephanopoulos if the democrats are planning on suing the President to stop his orders, Schumer replied, “I’ll leave that up to the attorneys.”
So, yes they are going to sue the President to stop him from giving money to people forced into unemployment by democratic lockdown mandates. Brilliant strategy, homie.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo called Trump’s executive orders “laughable” but then again he thought it was pretty funny that thousands of elderly people died due to his orders so maybe he doesn’t have the best sense of humor.
On MSNBC Hillary Clinton chimed in, because she thinks she’s still relevant, by saying President Trump’s orders are a “stunt.”
“There’s no doubt about it. It’s most likely, as even Republican senators have said unconstitutional, bypassing the Congress, trying to spend money that he has no authority to direct. But it’s also meant to be a diversion from the hard work Congress should be engaged in to provide the kind of relief that tens of millions of Americans need,” said Hillary.
She didn’t seem to have any Constitutional issues when Obama was bypassing Congress and the truth of the matter is, Trump is using money that has already been approved so he’s not doing anything he isn’t authorized to do.
Also, if Congress “should” be doing this but aren’t, how is that them working hard like Hillary claims? Trump did this because the democrats are only working hard at blocking relief to the American people.
Lastly, Nancy Pelosi was on Fox News and Chris Wallace let her have it:
“Having no bill at all, not coming to any agreement, wasn’t gonna provide any of the things you want either. You’re known as a master negotiator, but didn’t you mess this one up?” Wallace asked.
Shockingly, Pelosi didn’t agree that she f*cked up.
“Well, clearly you don’t have an understanding of what is happening here, both in the weakness of the president’s executive orders — which don’t give the money, enhanced benefit, but puts a complicated formula there which will take a while, if at all, to accomplish, to put money in the pockets of the American people,” Pelosi shot back.
No deal means nothing for anyone. Trump’s executive orders means something for some. Clearly Pelosi doesn’t understand that something is better than nothing.
With each phase of the coronavirus packages, democrats have blocked the bills with unreasonable demands that have delayed relief to the people. With their latest attempt, Trump called it on them, making them look as shitty as they are.
They are spinning as hard as they can but here’s the thing about spinning shit: all it does is splatter it on the walls.
