Over the weekend Black Lives Matter looted the hell out of Chicago, causing over $60 million in damages and stolen property. They did this because an armed black man shot at police and the police shot back. At least that was the pretext for the lawlessness, but at another less violent BLM protest, organizers explained that the looting was simply reparations for slavery. You know, because small immigrant-owned businesses were totally responsible for the enslavement of black people hundreds of years ago.
On Sunday in Chicago, police responded to a call about a man with a gun. They found him and he shot at the officers. They returned fire, striking but not killing 20-year-old Latrell Allen. With a name like that, you know the dude is black and because of that, rioting and looting ensued. 13 police officers were injured in the chaos.
Over 100 people were arrested and on Monday BLM stormed a Chicago police station to demand that all of those arrested be released immediately. Then, one of the organizers said this, according to Fox News:
“I don’t care if someone decides to loot a Gucci or a Macy’s or a Nike store, because that makes sure that person eats. That makes sure that person has clothes. That is reparations. Anything they wanted to take, they can take it because these businesses have insurance,” said BLM agitator Ariel Atkins.
Gucci bags are edible? Who knew?
I don’t think this kook understands how reparations are supposed to work. Democrats owned slaves in the South and then Republicans freed the slaves. Why do businesses in Chicago, many of them owned by immigrants who weren’t even in the country at the time of slavery, have to foot the bill? At least go after the the people and political party that is descended from the slave owners.
Ironically, Nike actually does use slave labor to make their overpriced shoddy merchandise, but those slaves are not black. If this was Indonesian children looting Chicago, that would make sense but this is ridiculous.
Black Lives Matter also issued a statement expressing their anger that black people were arrested for simply taking what they believe is there’s:
“The mayor clearly has not learned anything since May, and she would be wise to understand that the people will keep rising up until the [Chicago Police Department] is abolished and our Black communities are fully invested in,” the BLM statement read.
Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has done everything in her power to allow the lawlessness and destruction in her city, give her a break. She’s definitely on the side of violence and chaos and a true ally to the Marxist Black Lives Matter movement.
Slightly off-topic, I just realized this: An older way to describe someone who is gay is to say that person is “light in the loafers.” Lori Lightfoot is gay and her last name is almost “Light Loafers.” Coincidence? I think not.
Come to think of it, there are other coincidences with high-profile black female mayors who have allowed this kind of “social justice” anarchy to continue. Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser is a dog and Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms likes f*cking law-abiding citizens in the ass.
Back to the topic: Since this looting was considered reparations by these clearly deranged street scum, does that mean they will now shut up about this and get on with their lives?
And one last thing:
Why are these Black Lives Matter protesters, who are demanding slave reparations for themselves, a bunch of entitled white people?
