House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority leader Chuck Schumer have blocked the latest coronavirus relief package because they want it to include a variety of socialist things that have nothing to do with the pandemic. Pelosi is so unwilling to negotiate that she sent the House home until September, meaning the American people will not be getting relief any time soon. She has however said she might call the House back this week to vote on some BS bill to “save” the U.S. Postal Service, because she still has an interest in stealing the 2020 election.
The latest load of crap from the democrats is that President Trump is trying to sabotage the USPS to stop an all-mail in election in November. What Trump is actually doing is not dumping money into a mismanaged inefficient outfit that has been losing billions every year for decades. So when democrats say Trump is trying to destroy the Post Office, what they really mean is he isn’t will to waste billions of our tax dollars to temporarily prop them up.
While Pelosi has no interest in getting stimulus checks, enhanced unemployment, and small business help to the American people, she is very keen on rescuing the Post Office from its own incompetence.
Fox News reports:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested members could be brought back from August recess to address issues regarding the U.S. Postal Service, while urging Democrats to appear at their local post offices amid the battle to protect mail-in ballots for the 2020 presidential election.
“Alarmingly, across the nation, we see the devastating effects of the President’s campaign to sabotage the election by manipulating the Postal Service to disenfranchise voters,” said Pelosi.
Really? We have seen this? Like what? My postal service has always been shitty and it’s still shitty. There’s been zero change, positive or negative, regarding the mail delivery in my neighborhood.
Pelosi went on to slam Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, calling him a “top Trump mega-donor” who has “proven a complicit crony as he continues to push forward sweeping new operational changes that degrade postal service, delay the mail, and – according to the Postal Service itself – threaten to deny the ability of eligible Americans to cast their votes through the mail in the upcoming elections in a timely fashion.”
If people can riot in the streets, they can line up in the streets to cast a vote in person.
“These delays also threaten the health and economic security of the American people by delaying delivery of life-saving medicines and payments. Lives, livelihoods and the life of our American Democracy are under threat from the President,” Pelosi said.
She’s got a lot balls throwing that last one out. Nobody’s getting any payments thanks to her efforts to block coronavirus relief. If people not getting any payments is a threat to democracy, the economy, and the lives of the American people, she’s the one causing it.
“That is why I am calling upon the House to return to session later this week to vote on Oversight and Reform Committee Chairwoman Maloney’s ‘Delivering for America Act,’ which prohibits the Postal Service from implementing any changes to operations or level of service it had in place on January 1, 2020,” Pelosi said.
Again, the Post Office was shitty on Jan. 1 of this year and they’re still shitty. In fact the USPS has informed 46 states and Washington D.C. that they can’t guarantee they can successfully deliver and return all of the mail-in ballots democrats want to defraud the 2020 election with. That’s how “good” they are without Trump having to sabotage anything.
For the record, the democrats want $35 billion for the USPS in the latest coronavirus relief package. President Trump has offered them $10 billion but they don’t think that’s enough to steal the election so they are holding out.
Through words and deeds, democrats consistently demonstrate that they do not care about the American people. They are holding up desperately needed relief so they can pour $35 billion down the USPS money hole. Pelosi won’t negotiate on COVID-19 relief but will call the House back from vacation to pass a piece of joke legislation that will never make it to the Senate floor.
