Joe Biden claiming someone is in need of a mental health check is like Joe Biden saying someone is in need of a cognitive ability check. His mind is gone in so many ways. In the fakest most staged press conference ever, Joe Biden was asked the “hard hitting” question of what he thought about QAnon and his response was that anyone who believes in what they believe in (he clearly doesn’t know) should have their mental health checked out.
There was a coordinated effort on Friday to attack the President claiming he called dead American soldiers “losers.” This unsourced load of crap prompted Biden to immediately schedule a press conference to denounce it. The Q&A portion of this travesty saw reporter after reporter asking Biden softball questions like “why aren’t you angrier” and “is Trump a bad man?”
This particular question was the softest and dumbest one thrown Joe’s way:
“What do you say to the supporters of QAnon, people who believe in that conspiracy? What they think is true about America, that there is sex trafficking and a conspiracy against President Trump and what would you say to President Trump for not rejecting that conspiracy?” asked a pseudo-journalist.
Really? This “reporter” has Joe Biden, who hasn’t taken questions from the press in 6 months and he wants to know what the democratic party nominee thinks about QAnon?
The entire time this question was being asked, Biden was looking down at his notes and not at the person asking it. After an uncomfortable pause, he found the “right” answer and looked up.
“I’ve been a big supporter of mental health. I recommend that people who believe it should maybe take advantage while it still exists in Affordable Care Act,” said Biden.
This was supposed to be a zinger that Biden’s staff prepared for him but he still managed to mess it up. And he continued to ruin the scripted moment by continuing to talk.
“It’s bizarre. Totally bizarre. And now, have you guys found that plane load of people in uniforms and weapons and flying around? Is have you found ‘em yet? Is anybody even from, by the way I respect conservative and liberal points of view,” said Biden.
This is what happens when Biden tries to come up with his own zingers. I suspect that he’s trying to make reference to something Trump said about Antifa agitators from out of state attending riots in Wisconsin, but his word salad and facts spilled all over the floor.
This is also what happens when Biden is asked a question about QAnon and he has no idea what that is. The fact that his campaign staged this entire thing makes it really really sad.
“What in God’s name are we doing? Look at how it makes us look around the world. It’s mortifying, it’s embarrassing, and it’s dangerous,” said Biden.
He’s gotta be talking about himself here. After ranting about how QAnon is “deconstructing democracy” Biden looked down at his notes again and froze for a solid 6 seconds. Then finally:
“I’ll conclude with what I said before, the words of a president matter, even a lousy president. It gives succor it gives encouragement to people who are spouting irrational views that no one has even close to ever presuming or showing ever existed,” Biden said.
But I guess the words of a presidential candidate don’t matter, huh?
If QAnon has views, even if they are irrational, then those views exist. We can prove this through the simple fact that Joe commented on them. If Joe’s words matter (and they don’t) he just ranted about something that has never existed.
And that brings us back to the fact that Crazy Joe flubbed a scripted response, said a bunch of nonsensical things, butchered the English language, and demonstrated he has no idea what is going on around him. Yet he thinks someone else needs the mental health check.
