NYT Confirms Their Own Report On Trump’s Taxes Is A Lie

It would be hard for you to miss the latest liberal media outrage that President Trump only paid $750 in taxes the year he was elected. The New York Times dropped this bombshell and everyone on the left side of sanity is having a major freakout over it. Clearly nobody has read the actual article, including the people at the NYT, because it states very clearly that Trump paid millions in federal income taxes in his first 2 years in office. I guess “Trump Paid Millions In Taxes” isn’t the kind of headline that triggers the left like the lie the NYT and everyone on the liberal media is going with.

On Sunday, The New York Times tried desperately to influence the 2020 presidential election with a garbage story about Trump avoiding taxes. Here’s the opening paragraph that has all lefties in an uproar:

Donald J. Trump paid $750 in federal income taxes the year he won the presidency. In his first year in the White House, he paid another $750.

Huge, if true. It however is not true as reading further into the NYT article reveals:

As he settled into the Oval Office, his tax bills soon returned to form. His potential taxable income in 2016 and 2017 included $24.8 million in profits from sources related to his celebrity status and $56.4 million for the loans he did not repay. The dreaded alternative minimum tax would let his business losses erase only some of his liability.

Each time, he requested an extension to file his 1040; and each time, he made the required payment to the I.R.S. for income taxes he might owe — $1 million for 2016 and $4.2 million for 2017.

So when the NYT says Trump only paid $750 in taxes in each of his first 2 years in the White House, what they really meant was that he paid that in addition to the $5.2 million dollars he also paid. How is this being passed off as journalism?

Of course the NYT had their usual anonymous sources behind this dud:

All of the information The Times obtained was provided by sources with legal access to it.

Yes, but did any of theses sources have the legal authority to leak this information to the media? My guess is they did not.

While the NYT brags…

The New York Times has obtained tax-return data extending over more than two decades for Mr. Trump and the hundreds of companies that make up his business organization, including detailed information from his first two years in office.

…they fail to mention what Trump’s tax returns don’t show:

1) There are no financial connections to Russia like the liberal media and democrats have been screaming about for 4 years.

2) There are no payments to horsefaced porn actress Stormy Daniels or any other hush money the liberal media and democrats have been screaming about for 4 years.

3) Trump is not broke like the liberal media and democrats have been screaming about for 4 years.

And the biggest of all:

4) Trump broke no laws in preparing his taxes. He simply took deductions that the tax code allows for.

On top of which, President Trump really is being audited by the IRS and can’t release his taxes until it is resolved:

Records show that the results of an audit of Mr. Trump’s refund were sent to the joint committee in the spring of 2011. An agreement was reached in late 2014, the documents indicate, but the audit resumed and grew to include Mr. Trump’s returns for 2010 through 2013. In the spring of 2016, with Mr. Trump closing in on the Republican nomination, the case was sent back to the committee. It has remained there, unresolved, with the statute of limitations repeatedly pushed forward.

While the entire liberal media, as well as the democrats, are running with the lie that Trump barely pays any taxes or doesn’t pay them at all, the reality is he pays millions every year. The fact that all of this information is contained within the NYT article shows how pathetic the fake news industry has gotten in their efforts to destroy the President of the United States.
