It’s not all that surprising that a guy who wears anti-cop socks wants a cop-killer released from prison. Noted kneeler and ex-bench quarterback Colin Kaepernick is demanding that Mumia Abu-Jamal, who shot a cop to death, be released from prison immediately. Shit people have shit heroes.
In 1981 Abul-Jamal’s brother was driving down the wrong side of the street in Philadelphia and was pulled over by officer William Cook. Abu-Jamal’s brother started fighting with the officer, but as luck would have it, Abu-Jamal just happened to be driving by. He got out of his car and started shooting at Cook. In the ensuing gun battle, Cook died and Abu-Jamal was wounded. He confessed to the killing and was sentenced to death, but that was commuted to life in prison.
Since then, Abu-Jamal has claimed he is innocent, making him the first high-profile “dindunuffin.” He has also gone on to become a hero to horrible leftists everywhere, because they loves them some cop-killers.
Before his arrest, Abu-Jamal was a member of the Black Panthers and an outspoken cop-hater. He was pretty much Colin Kaepernick without the Nike commercial. Speaking of which, WHYY reports this thing that should have all decent people asking “whyy?”
Colin Kaepernick has called for the release of Mumia Abu-Jamal, imprisoned since 1982 for the killing of Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner in 1981. Abu-Jamal has maintained his innocence and his supporters have long claimed his trial was flawed.
The former NFL quarterback, who famously took a knee during the performance of the national anthem in 2016 in protest of police brutality, noted that Abu-Jamal has been in prison for longer than Kaepernick has been alive.
“Mumia has been in prison longer than I’ve been alive. Since 1981, Mumia has maintained his innocence. His story has not changed,” said Kaepernick.
Well he did change from “I did it” to “I didn’t do it” so there’s that. Also, I have a pair of boots that are older than Kaepernick but that doesn’t mean a cop-killer should be set free.
“We’re in the midst of a movement that says Black Lives Matter. If that is the case, then Mumia’s life and freedom must matter. Even while living in the hells of the prison system, Mumia still fights for our human rights. We must continue to fight for him and his human rights,” Kaepernick said.
Taking human life is not fighting for human rights, it’s murder. Also, just because black people are rioting in the streets doesn’t mean that a cop-killer should be set free.
“Today we’re living through a moment where it’s acceptable to paint ‘end racism now’ in front of the Philadelphia Police Department’s 26th district headquarters, and yet a political prisoner who has since the age of 14 dedicated his life to fighting against racism, continues to be caged and lives his life on a slow death row,” said Kaepernick.
This guy’s arguments are terrible. Just because the liberals who run Philadelphia allow “social justice” vandalism doesn’t mean a cop-killer should be set loose.
“We’re in the midst of a movement that says ‘Black Lives Matter.’ And if that’s truly the case, then it means that Mumia’s life and legacy must matter. And the causes that he sacrifices life and freedom for must matter as well,” said Kaepernick.
He killed a cop. He’s a cop-killer. That’s his legacy and it will remain intact long after he dies in prison.
Leftists don’t care much for patriots, soldiers, or innovators, people we normally associate with heroism, but they sure do love cop-killers and terrorists. If your heroes are shit people, that makes you a shit person and Colin Kaepernick is all the proof that scientific formula needs.
Times have changed over the past 39 years. Many things that were once taboo are now normalized. Killing cops isn’t one of those things and as long as we keep the leftists at bay, we can keep it that way.
