Remember when the NFL was a sports league? Rather than being entertainment the league is now a leftist political organization, promoting anti-American and anti-police agendas. Their latest miscalculation has them honoring a scumbag who shot at cops as a social justice hero. Apparently they won’t be satisfied until they drive away every fan with this garbage.
Dreasjon “Sean” Reed was scumbag who was shot and killed by Indianapolis police last May after he lead them on a chase and then shot at them. Because he was black, he’s been turned into a victim of systemic racism and it doesn’t even matter that the cop who killed him was also black.
Here’s WISHTV with details of this loser’s “heroism”:
IMPD says Deputy Chief Kendale Adams first noticed a vehicle driving recklessly while northbound on Interstate 65 near 30th Street around 6 p.m. Adams was traveling in an unmarked vehicle. Behind his vehicle was IMPD Chief Randal Taylor, also in an unmarked vehicle.
Officers say the suspect was driving at a high rate of speed and ignoring traffic signals.
Adams and Taylor pursued the vehicle until a marked vehicle joined in.
At 6:10, the pursuit was ended. Six minutes later, another officer saw the vehicle pull in behind a business in the 6200 block of Michigan Road.
IMPD said a short foot pursuit occurred, then the officer deployed a stun gun. IMPD has described the use of the stun gun as “ineffective.”
IMPD says the officer and Reed exchanged gunfire. Chief Taylor says evidence shows Reed fired two shots.
Reed was struck. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
IMPD says a loaded gun matching photos Reed had posted on social media was found on the scene. IMPD says ballistic evidence points to both parties firing shots.
Ballistic evidence also linked Reed’s gun to a pair of drive-by shootings according to The Indy Star:
Indiana State Police Lt. Jeff Hearon, in response to a reporter’s question, said text messages on one of two phones Reed carried that day connected him to drive-by shootings in Indianapolis. Tests later showed the gun found near Reed when he died was used in those drive-bys, Hearon said.
Reed also streamed his own death on Facebook Live, which backs up the police version of events:
In the video, Reed can be heard daring police to come get him. As he’s running, he responds to the police orders to stop by telling them to “f*ck off.” After the shooting, one office stands over his body and says, “Looks like it’s gonna be a closed casket, homie.”
The Indy Star also reports that the black officer who shot Reed would not face any criminal charges:
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police officer who fatally shot 21-year-old Dreasjon Reed won’t face criminal charges, a grand jury has decided.
IMPD officer Dejoure Mercer shot Reed during a foot pursuit near West 62nd Street and Michigan Road on May 6. The shooting sparked protests and demands from some that Mercer face consequences.
Special Prosecutor Rosemary Khoury, who was appointed to oversee the criminal investigation, announced in August that a grand jury would determine whether Mercer should be indicted. The jury’s decision was announced Tuesday evening at the Indiana State Police Museum.
Khoury said the grand jury determined that there wasn’t enough probable cause to charge the officer.
Incidentally, Special Prosecutor Rosemary Khoury is also black.
Ok, Reed was a scumbag criminal who died trying to kill a black cop, so clearly he is not the victim of systemic racism or any other kind of racism and yet:
Say His Name: Dreasjon Reed
Dreasjon is one of the many individuals being honored by players and coaches this season through the NFL’s helmet decal program.#SayTheirStories: https://t.co/vwi75WmNxr pic.twitter.com/wWaasw6LBp— NFL (@NFL) December 16, 2020
Reed is one of 87 losers the NFL is honoring as “social justice hero” and “victims of systemic racism” this season. Indianapolis Colts linebacker Matthew Adams even wore a decade on his helmet earlier this season to honor Reed.
I don’t know about you, but I’m done with the NFL until such a time as they decide they want to be about football again. Sure, I’m a Detroit Lions fan so it’s easy for me to walk away but that shouldn’t detract from my gesture of protest.
