Bill Maher: Megachurches Play QAnon Videos, and Trumpism is a Christian Cult

The Church of Trump? Maher can’t truly believe much of what he says, can he? He’s pushing that election fraud is a hoax. And that Trump supporters are Jesus freaks, as reported on Red State.

What he really obviously is doing here is laboring too hard for the few laughs he’s getting. He’s not funny and he’s certainly not a prophet. Actually, I see him as a wet blanket. He’s dampening the hope of hundreds of millions of Americans.

Side note: Do you all see what I see when you look at his face? Please forgive me this digression. Every time I see a picture of this guy I’m reminded of a meme of him I saw years ago. You know what I’m talking about, right?

Are there any Def-Con News readers out there who are members of the religious sect that contends Donald Trump was sent by a merciful Creator in order to rescue the Earth?

Bill Maher claims to believe many of us fall into that characterization. And on Friday, the host attacked us.

What Bill fails to understand, or has simply chosen not to include in his address, is the concept of Figures of Speech.

Much of what has been said about President Trump, when speaking in the context of wishing for something better, has been in the form of figures of speech.

President Trump has been regarded as a ‘Beacon of Hope,’ a ‘Breath of Fresh Air,’ and, yes, a ‘God send.’ His Washington D.C. had become that ‘City upon the Hill.’ And his policies had become like ‘Manna from Heaven.’

But, Bill, this is metaphor with sprinklings of parable, simile, irony, euphemism, paradox, and hyperbole for the purpose of expression.

Democrats, as you must very well understand Bill, are terrible with their use of figures of speech.

For example, Democrats use a lot of paradox–statements that contradict themselves; hyperbole–extravagant statements with exaggeration for the purpose of heightened effect; oxymoron in which contradictory terms are used side by side; and last but certainly not least, euphemism–like the use of the word ‘investments’ when they intend to raise taxes, the word ‘downsizing’ when what they really mean is job cuts, and as they more recently tried to convince people they are being given ‘more employment choices’ after shutting down work on the Kestone pipeline and putting thousands out of work. Oh, and don’t forget obfuscation, Bill. This is not exactly a figure of speech but making things obscure, unclear, or unintelligible is a common Democrat tactic.

No, Bill, Trumpism is not a religion and you aren’t funny. But your nose is.

I encourage you, Def-Con News readers, to watch the attached video for yourselves. Do you see any sense in what Maher is saying? Is President Trump a god send? Does Maher’s nose look like what I think it does?
