Caitlyn Jenner releases first California recall video, saying (In A Male Voice) it’s ‘time to reopen’

Bruce Jenner, the Olympic Gold Medalist-turned Caitlyn Jenner, the celebrity-turned-California-Republican gubernatorial candidate, released a first video of the crowded recall campaign to replace Gov. Gavin Newsom on Tuesday. This from foxnews.com.

First, the campaign video contrasts well the transition of California from a beautiful, successful, jewel of the Republic to a broken, impoverished, excuse of another democrat-spoiled shit hole on the planet.

Secondly, Bruce may have changed his name to Caitlyn, he may have changed his wardrobe, and (s)he may even be feeling the new sexuality since having undergone that final sex reassignment surgery in January 2017. However, the voice doesn’t fit the face nor the wardrobe, and I find the video uncomfortable at best. Let’s be truthful here, if Caitlyn Jenner was still Bruce Jenner, this candidacy would be incredibly powerful? Instead it’s simply weird.

The format of the California recall elections gives candidates with high name recognition, but who may not have made it through a traditional primary process, a more significant chance of success.

If Newsom is successfully removed from office, his replacement would be in office only for a short time before the regularly scheduled election for California governor in 2022.

The ballot will have two questions. The first is whether the sitting governor should be recalled? The second is, if more than half of voters say ‘yes’ to the first question, who should replace the governor?

There are likely to be dozens or more candidates listed on the second question, potentially splitting votes for more traditional politicians and allowing a person who is very famous to win via a plurality.

Announcing this candidacy, Jenner announced, “For the past decade, we have seen the glimmer of the Golden State reduced by one-party rule that places politics over progress and special interests over people.” Jenner is coming from a position of “Compassionate Disrupter.” “This will be a campaign of solutions, providing a roadmap back to prosperity to turn this state around and finally clean up the damage Newsom has done to this state.”

Jenner, whose candidacy was earlier reported by Axios, chose to run after meeting with several advisers who also worked for President Trump, which could complicate the chances in California.

Democrats have repeatedly painted the recall effort as a plan supported largely by far-right extremists.

Jenner supported President Trump early on when he ran for president, but withdrew support in 2018 after his administration repeatedly attacked transgender rights.

Below is a music video, which Def-Con News readers may find appropriate for the topic of this article. This is a song about cross-dressers who travel from various locations around America to New York City and become drag queens and prostitutes. This song by Lou Reed, 1972, is Walk On The Wild Side. Enjoy.
