Cancel Culture Has Knives Out For Horror Classic ‘Psycho’ Over Negative Portrayal Of Gender Identity

These people are completely out of control.

The transgender movement which serves as the glue that binds together the disparate elements of the Democrat party coalition through the dogma of intersectionality is determined to leverage their power to force their degenerate lifestyles down the throats of normal Americans.

Despite their minuscule numbers in terms of demographic representation of the public as a whole, transgenders are the proverbial tail that wags the dog and anyone who dares to point out their peculiarities is quickly savaged by the full force of the cancel culture mob that dominates Twitter by acting like angry monkeys flinging their feces at zoo visitors.

Now whiny and perpetually aggrieved transgender activists are taking aim at the acclaimed horror film classic Psycho because viewers may get the idea that the very special people are mentally ill and prone to acting out and harming others.

The 1960 Alfred Hitchcock thriller featured Anthony Perkins as the cross-dressing Norman Bates, a twisted freak with a mother fixation who had a tendency to hack hapless guests to death with a butcher knife at the infamous Bates Motel.

When it came to flicks that would inspire future generations of horror writers/directors, there are few that were as influential as Psycho has been and especially when it comes to the slasher genre.

Now it is the movie that the cultural jihadists are coming for with their own sharpened blades, specifically the “woke” ghouls at Turner Classic Movies who have deemed it to be “troubling and problematic,” enough that it has been included on their list of film classics that whenever they air, will be accompanied by scolding lectors from our self-appointed moral betters.

TCM has included Psycho along with 18 other classic movies in their series “Reframed: Classic Films in the Rearview Mirror” which will “examine” the iconic flicks under the microscope of today’s twisted intolerant – and yes, fascistic – cancel culture that has moved from destroying statues of American historical figures into the early phases of the struggle sessions and brainwashing that is typically seen in communist regimes.

Via Breitbart News, “Turner Classic Movies Examines ‘Problematic’ Film Classics in New Series”:

The new TCM series, which launched on Thursday, also seeks to pick apart such innocuous movies as Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner? and My Fair Lady.

“Many of the beloved classics that we enjoy on TCM have stood the test of time in several ways, nevertheless when viewed by contemporary standards, certain aspects of these films can be troubling and problematic,” the cable network said.

TCM hosts will put Psycho under the microscope for its alleged portrayal of gender identity and the way it supposedly equates transgenderism with mental illness and violence. The Hitchcock classic, which was first released in 1960, stars Anthony Perkins as a motel manager whose split personality involves dressing up as his deceased mother to carry out a murder.

Additional details according to Breitbart:

The result is a new series, “Reframed Classics,” which promises wide-ranging discussions about 18 culturally significant films from the 1920s through the 1960s that also have problematic aspects, from “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” and Mickey Rooney’s performance as Mr. Yunioshi to Fred Astaire’s blackface routine in “Swing Time.” It kicks off Thursday at 8 p.m. ET with none other than “Gone With the Wind.”

“We know millions of people love these films,” said TCM host Jacqueline Stewart, who is participating in many of the conversations. “We’re not saying this is how you should feel about ‘Pyscho’ or this is how you should feel about ‘Gone with the Wind.’ We’re just trying to model ways of having longer and deeper conversations and not just cutting it off to ‘I love this movie. I hate this movie.’ There’s so much space in between.”

Stewart, a University of Chicago professor who in 2019 became the channel’s first African American host, has spent her career studying classic films, particularly those in the silent era, and Black audiences. She knows first-hand the tension of loving films that also contain racial stereotypes.

The legendary director had another one of his classics included on the list with the 1948 film Rope based on the infamous Leopold and Lowe murder of a Jewish teen that horrified the nation.

The major sin of Rope is that the killers were homosexuals and well, gay people’s feelings might be hurt.

The Marxist reshaping of film history will also include a solid scolding before other films on the list including:

Gone With The Wind, Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner: RACIST!

My Fair Lady: Misogynist.

Tarzan, The Ape Man: Cultural appropriation.

Stagecoach, The Searchers: Primitive, sadistic murdering savages portrayed in an accurate manner and besides, John Wayne is the star of both films.

TCM’s series will run through the month of March leading all the way up to the orgy of sanctimonious wokesterism that is the Academy Awards.

The Maoist struggle sessions are now coming directly into the living rooms of Americans who still can’t comprehend where this is all going.
