Accused Rapist Skunk Pepe Le Pew Cut From LeBron James’ ‘Space Jam 2’ Movie

It’s a fucking cartoon skunk for God’s sake…

The erasure of another innocent victim who has been targeted for termination by an increasingly dangerous cancel culture mob has taken another turn as Pepe Le Pew has been dumped from the upcoming movie featuring China apologist and NBA superstar LeBron James.

As previously reported right here at Def-Con News, the French skunk who has appeared in Warner Bros. popular Loony Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons since 1945 was accused of promoting rape culture in a column by the perpetually sour New York Times columnist Charles Blow, a man who is obsessed with race and in a screed cheering the cancellation of Dr. Seuss books, singled out Le Pew along with other cartoon characters including Speedy Gonzalez.

On Monday, the word came down that when Space Jam 2 is released, that it will be missing one overly horny skunk.

Via Deadline, “Pepe Le Pew Won’t Be Appearing In Warner Bros’ ‘Space Jam’ Sequel”:

He starred in the first Warner Bros. Space Jam movie back in 1996, however, Pepe Le Pew will not be showing up at all in the upcoming theatrical sequel Space Jam: A New Legacy on July 16.

With the Looney Tunes French skunk besieged by controversy in the wake of New York Times columnist Charles M. Blow slamming that the cartoon character “added to rape culture,” Deadline has learned that a hybrid live-action animation scene between Jane the Virgin actress Greice Santo and Pepe Le Pew, shot back in June 2019 for Space Jam 2 was left on the cutting room floor.

The Pepe Le Pew character will likely be a thing of the past across all media. Warner Bros. also has no current TV series featuring the skunk and there are no plans to have him appear on Looney Toons, Bugs Bunny Builders, Tiny Toons Looniversary or future projects, sources confirmed to Deadline.

According to the report, the decision to dump Le Pew had been made before Blow’s bitter diatribe and bizarre accusation broke the internet.

Additional details per Deadline:

Pepe was set to appear in a black-and-white Casablanca-like Rick’s Cafe sequence. Pepe, playing a bartender, starts hitting on a woman at the bar played by [Greice Santo]. He begins kissing her arm, which she pulls back, then slamming Pepe into the chair next to hers. She then pours her drink on Pepe, and slaps him hard, sending him spinning in a stool, which is then stopped by LeBron James’ hand.

James and Bugs Bunny are looking for Lola, and Pepe knows her whereabouts. Pepe then tells the guys that Penelope cat has filed a restraining order against him. James makes a remark in the script that Pepe can’t grab other Tunes without their consent.

Even as Le Pew is being vilified, the plot for the “woke” sequel to the 1988 Eddie Murphy hit Coming To America lays bare the cancel culture’s double standard when it comes to black people.

A major part of the storyline for Coming2America involves date rape, yet there has been no outcry, especially from the New York Times and its noisy collection of social justice warriors.

According to the entertainment website Pop Culture, “‘Coming 2 America’ Date Rape Scene Infuriates and Disappoints Viewers”:

In the sequel film, Murphy’s Prince Akeem is dealing with issues of succession. He and his wife, Lisa, have had three daughters, and the outdated laws of Zamunda require a male heir to take over the throne. However, Akeem’s father, King Jaffe, tells him on his deathbed that he has a secret son, Lavelle (Fowler). This sends Akeem and Semmi back to America to find his potential heir.

However, it is revealed that the reason Akeem had no idea that he had a son was that his mother Mary, played by Leslie Jones, drugged the prince and date-raped him on his first trip to America. Despite the fact that this is a horrifying assault, the incident is played off as a joke by the characters in the film.

While many are quick to dismiss the vicious attack on Pepe Le Pew and Dr. Seuss by the “woke” inquisition, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Glenn Greenwald made it clear where this inevitably is going to lead.

They aren’t going to be satisfied with eradicating cartoon characters.
