This Restaurant is a Site of Peaceful Protest in Los Angeles

A restaurant owner in Burbank, California is taking a stand against the unconstitutional lockdown orders of Governor Gavin Newsom. In a revolting attempt to abuse their powers, the City of Burbank issued a temporary restraining order to the family-owned Tin Horn Flats Saloon & Grill. The city has revoked the restaurant’s health permit, Conditional Use Permit, and liquor license.

The City of Burbank alleges that Tin Horn Flats defied a ban on outdoor dining levied by Gavin Newsom in December of 2020. The city initially voted to revoke the operating permit of the local restaurant in February.

Owner/Operator Lucas Lepejian and his family of patriots have vowed not to close the business – but at monumental cost. Fox 11 Los Angeles reported that a Los Angeles Superior Court authorized the City of Burbank to disconnect the restaurant’s electricity. The Department of Water and Power arrived with Burbank Police on Saturday morning to cut the power per the demand of the tyrannical judge.

A sudden loss of lights and power did not stop local residents who vehemently oppose the court’s ruling from coming out to support the Lepejian family’s business. Walk-in fridges were cleared out, produce was moved to generator-powered refrigerators, and the outdoor barbeque grill was blazing with the mouth-watering smell of American food. A Facebook story posted on the Tinhorn Flats page shows a bustling patio chock-full of patrons drinking beers, eating burgers, and even celebrating a birthday party – without the requirement of an ineffective Chinese face burka.

Due to lack of internet connectivity, the restaurant is only accepting cash and Venmo payments at this time. The Lepejians have successfully called the necessary audibles to keep the business open and stand as a defender of civil liberties. Unfortunately, Lucas was quick to warn me that they are not “out of the woods” yet. The city has since threatened to cut water to the building and even chain the doors to deter Burbank residents from supporting the embattled family.

“The court did not provide permission to padlock the doors at this time but continues to reserve such a remedy as a last resort,” reads a statement from the City of Burbank:

The big-tech giant Yelp has decided to intervene by censoring free speech on their business review platform. At this time, comments and reviews are disabled on the Tin Horn Flats page.

How can you help?

The family has established a legal defense fund using the platform gofundme:

The clowns at the Burbank City Council have illegally revoked our Conditional Use Permit and Los Angeles City has illegally revoked our health permit. We need this money to continue to fight for all our rights. The money will be used for Geragos & Geragos Law to keep our doors open.

At the time of this article, the gofundme campaign is only at roughly 25% of goal. The restaurant also took to Facebook to reaffirm that they will not close their doors. It is paramount that Southern California residents flock to the business and stand at the ready to guard our liberties and freedoms. I recommend the Windy City Lemonade.
