While I’d love to take credit for being a master psychic, democrats are too predictable for me to make that boast. Earlier today I said democrats would exploit the non-racially-motivated shootings at Atlanta-area message parlors to push gun control and within minutes, they were doing just that. I can’t pick Oscar winners, I don’t know what happened to Jimmy Hoffa, but I do recognize when democrats are going to be democrats.
After the narrative that the Atalanta shootings were racially-motivated fell apart, I speculated:
How much do you want to bet that democrats will exploit this killing to push their enhanced background check gun control bill? Don’t take that bet because they will absolutely use this in an attempt to strip our rights.
Cue Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer:
Atlanta was shocked last night by a series of shootings leaving 8 people dead—6 of Asian descent
We can’t lose our vigilance against the forces of hate, bigotry, discrimination—We must #StopAsianHate
And we must move forward on legislation to help stop the gun violence epidemic
— Chuck Schumer (@SenSchumer) March 17, 2021
And gun-hatin’ Chris Murphy:
From our beginning, America has been a place awash in both vengeful bigotry and uncontrolled firearms – a toxic and deadly combination unique to our nation.
This is our past and our unfortunate present. But it is entirely within our power to choose a different future.
— Chris Murphy (@ChrisMurphyCT) March 17, 2021
And Roman-hatin’ Spartacus:
My heart breaks for the victims of yet another hateful act of gun violence. Keeping the victims and their loved ones, the people of Atlanta, and the AAPI community in my prayers. https://t.co/h7W0OhTpal
— Cory Booker (@CoryBooker) March 17, 2021
And America-hatin’ Pramila Jayapal:
My heart breaks to see this tragic news. AAPI Americans are once again being targeted, harassed, attacked, and killed in Georgia and communities across America.
We must do everything we can to end this violence while organizing together against hate, gun violence, and bigotry. https://t.co/Oy4AYkR08L
— Rep. Pramila Jayapal (@RepJayapal) March 17, 2021
And Tucker Carlson-hatin’ Tammy Duckworth:
It is the responsibility of all Americans to help put an end to the disease of hatred that’s spreading through our country and it is long past time we take meaningful steps to prevent gun violence and ensure firearms don’t fall into the hands of dangerous people.#StopAAPIHate
— Tammy Duckworth (@SenDuckworth) March 17, 2021
And whoever the hell this is:
I am filled with grief by the senseless act of gun violence that took the lives of eight in Atlanta last night.
The growing prevalence of violence and hate against Asian Americans demands urgent action, and we must work together to address it.
— Rep. Lauren Underwood (@RepUnderwood) March 17, 2021
But nobody hates our 2nd Amendment rights more than former White House occupier, Barack Obama, so he called on Congress to do what he was too lazy to work on in 8 years as president:
Even as we’ve battled the pandemic, we’ve continued to neglect the longer-lasting epidemic of gun violence in America. Although the shooter’s motive is not yet clear, the identity of the victims underscores an alarming rise in anti-Asian violence that must end.
— Barack Obama (@BarackObama) March 17, 2021
Yesterday’s shootings are another tragic reminder that we have far more work to do to put in place commonsense gun safety laws and root out the pervasive patterns of hatred and violence in our society.
— Barack Obama (@BarackObama) March 17, 2021
Michelle and I pray for the victims, their families, everyone grieving these needless and devastating killings—and we urge meaningful action that will save lives.
— Barack Obama (@BarackObama) March 17, 2021
A running theme from these democrats is that don’t have any facts of the Atalanta shootings, but they are prepared to strip our rights to make sure it doesn’t happen again. In addition to my ability to predict democrats would try to exploit this tragedy to push gun control, I also had a premonition that they would all be full of shit in doing so. Maybe I am the Nostradamus of bullshit.
