The determination to scrub the nation’s history by the “woke” revolutionaries who call the Democratic party their home has major implications for the future of America, especially when it comes to losing ground to China.
The crusade for total wokeness comes at a very serious price that few dare to point out for fear of being canceled but now an unlikely source has spoken up against the ruinous spree of self-destruction that is running rampant with no end in sight.
On Friday’s edition of his popular HBO show, Bill Maher delivered an epic monologue on how “woke” culture is threatening America’s global stature by allowing China to take advantage of our inability to achieve anything of real value in order to position itself as a future powerhouse that will economically dominate the 21st century and beyond.
Maher nailed it, “China sees a problem and they fix it. They build a dam. We debate what to rename it.”
He added, “And they are eating our lunch. And believe me, in an hour, they’ll be hungry again.”

The comic began his monologue by calling out the “woke” inquisition over getting six books by Dr. Seuss pulled after they were deemed to be racist according to the cultural elite and pointing out that the “offensive” Chinese images mattered little to people in China.
“Do you know who doesn’t care that there’s a stereotype of a Chinese man in a Dr. Seuss book? China,” he said. “All 1.4 billion of them couldn’t give a crouching tiger flying f*** because they’re not a silly people. If anything, they are as serious as a prison fight,” lamented Maher.
He then observed that while Americans have been distracted by such “silly” things, that the Chinese have been building an infrastructure that puts ours to shame; “In two generations, China has built 500 entire cities from scratch, moved the majority of their huge population from poverty to the middle class, and mostly cornered the market in 5G and pharmaceuticals,” said Maher.
He continued; “In China alone, they have 40,000 kilometers of high-speed rail. America has none. … We’ve been having Infrastructure Week every week since 2009 but we never do anything. Half the country is having a never-ending woke competition deciding whether Mr. Potato Head has a d*** and the other half believes we have to stop the lizard people because they’re eating babies. We are a silly people.”
Maher then ridiculed what he suggested was a fixation on Netflix and other streaming entertainment over important matters; “We bingewatch, they bingebuild. When COVID hit Wuhan, the city built a quarantine center with 4,000 rooms in 10 days and they barely had to use it because they quickly arrested the rest of the disease,”
The comedian also criticized the disastrous response to COVID which has been politicized by Democrats as well as seriously damaged by the flip-flopping of Dr. Fauci and other “experts” who have been wrong about practically everything.
“They were back to throwing raves in swimming pools while we were stuck at home surfing the dark web for black market Charmin. We’re not losing to China, we lost. The returns just haven’t all come in yet. They’ve made robots that check a kid’s temperature and got their asses back in school. Most of our kids are still pretending to take Zoom classes while they watch TikTok and their brain cells fully commit ritual suicide,” said Maher.
He has point.
The government in Bejing couldn’t be happier by the way that our nation which not that long ago was held up as the model for the rest of the world when it comes to fairness and opportunity for all has been divided by cultural zealots who have become dominant in the ruling political party, the mass media and entertainment industries along with corporate boardrooms.
While Bill Maher may a smug liberal celebrity, he has set himself aside from his fellow Democrats in the entertainment industry by being willing to call out the completely absurd and increasingly dangerous “woke” inquisition that while being politically advantageous to his party, has cost America dearly.
It will continue to do so until enough people wake up to reject this nonsense.
