Democrat Alex Padilla Claims It’s Easier To Buy A Gun Than Vote

Democrats conveniently got a couple of mass shootings right before they tried to ram through unconstitutional gun control but unfortunately both tragedies didn’t meet their standards of exploitation and narrative building. Still, the Senate held a hearing on “gun violence” today and democrat Alex Padilla tried building a new narrative by lying that it’s easier to buy a gun than vote.

Alex Padilla was given Kamala Harris’ Senate seat after she and Joe Joe pulled of the Great Election Heist of 2020 so he’s got some big bullshitting shoes to fill. So far, he’s doing super:

It was nice of CBS to post this without fact-checking it the way they would if a Republican had told such a blatant lie. Once agin, fact-checking the democrats falls to Def-Con News.

“In a majority of states” means that he’s claiming that in at least 26 states it’s easier to buy a gun than it is to vote for the first time. In order to cast one’s first ballot in any state, a person must register, which is an easy process, then they can either vote by mail or show up at the polls and cast a ballot, which are also easy processes. Only a person with the mental capabilities of a toddler would find this difficult.

Also in all 50 states, to buy a gun from a licensed dealer one must be eligible and pass a background check. They must present a valid I.D. and sometimes have to wait weeks before taking possession of the firearm. There are also taxes and fees associated with the purchase.

There are no I.D requirements to vote in the majority of states. In no state are there taxes, fees, or waiting periods associated with voting. In many states, people who can’t legally purchase a firearm are free to cast a ballot.

Lastly, people can vote for whoever they want, while in many places they can buy any kind of gun they want.

Our rating: Alex Padilla is full of shit. We award him 5 out of 5 piles of donkey shit for this lie.

Maybe Padilla wasn’t referring to the legal purchase of firearms but even there he’s still lying. In the majority of states it’s easier to illegally vote than illegally acquire a gun. To illegally vote, one must only show up at the polls and request a provisional ballot. In the last election, democrats went ahead and gave mail-in ballots to millions on ineligibles voters.

To illegally purchase a gun, one must go to a sketchy neighborhood and hope to find someone illegally selling guns. Even after that, there’s a 50/50 chance a person will be robbed and maybe even killed instead of taking possession of a firearm with the serial numbers filed off.

No matter how you look at it, voting is much easier than buying a gun, legally or illegally.

What Padilla should have said if he wanted to make a factual statement was: It’s easier for him to become a U.S. Senator from California than it is for the people of his state to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights.
