Would you support him?
With it still uncertain whether former President Donald J. Trump will be taking another shot at the White House in 2024, the field remains wide open and one very familiar face appears to be in the early stages of mounting his own presidential run.
Former Vice President Mike Pence who briefly kept a low profile after the questionable results of the 2020 election has reemerged by joining the conservative think tank the Heritage Foundation as well as penning an op-ed for the Daily Signal supporting Georgia’s new election integrity law and will be delivering a speech to a Christian group in South Carolina next month.
Unlike Trump, Pence is a favorite of the establishment who sang his praises after he butted heads with his former boss over the January congressional certification of the Electoral College vote on the day of the so-called “insurrection” that has been used by the one-party government to wage a campaign of government repression against Trump supporters.

To prevail in a Republican presidential primary, Pence may have to reinforce his loyalty to Trump while defending his decisions during the final days of the administration when the president falsely alleged widespread voter fraud, contributing to a deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol. If anyone can achieve this awkward balance, some Republicans say, it’s Pence.
“Anybody who can pull off an endorsement of Ted Cruz and become Donald Trump’s vice presidential nominee should not be counted out,” said Republican strategist Alice Stewart, who worked for Cruz’s 2016 presidential campaign when Pence endorsed him. “He has a way of splitting hairs and threading the needle that has paid off in the past.”
Pence aides generally brush off talk of the next presidential election. They insist he is focused on his family and next year’s midterm elections, when Republicans are well positioned to regain at least one chamber of Congress. Allies argue that, over time, the anger will subside.
“I think 2024′s a long time away and if Mike Pence runs for president he will appeal to the Republican base in a way that will make him a strong contender,” said Republican Rep. Jim Banks of Indiana, who chairs the conservative Republican Study Committee and has already endorsed a Pence 2024 run. “If and when Mike Pence steps back up to the plate, I think he will have strong appeal among Republicans nationwide.”
With it being highly unlikely that the GOP establishment would support another Trump presidential bid, and they clearly despise Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Pence would seem to be a natural and it could also open up the 2024 ticket to the treacherous Nikki Haley who would be a favorite to be tabbed as a Pence running mate.
Pence does carry tremendous baggage with much of the MAGA movement for not only his betrayal of Trump but also his role with the White House Coronavirus Task Force led by Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx that set the nation on its current disastrous course toward masked tyranny.
There is also the matter of whether Trump would endorse Pence given that if he chooses to remain a private citizen, that he would be a kingmaker but there may still be tensions after the inaction to contest the dubiously legitimate 2020 vote.
However, it could all be rendered moot if the Democrats are able to pass their new law that will essentially take elections out of the hands of states and cement into place every dirty trick that they used to steal the White House away from Trump.
