On Tuesday, Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) placed blame on Israel for recent attacks by the Palestinian terror group Hamas:
I am extremely concerned by the growing conflict in Israel and Palestine. Once again we are seeing how the irresponsible actions of government-allied right-wing extremists in Jerusalem can escalate quickly into devastating war.

Human Rights lawyer Arsen Ostrovsky responded to the anti-Semitic rant from the socialist Senate Budget Committee Chairman:
You disgusting Hamas shill. My family spent night in shelter. Hamas fired 1,000 rockets at Israel. You can’t even call them out, you blame us! Shame you. You’re a disgrace.

The Daily Wire’s Hank Berrien noted that Sanders often takes an anti-Israel stance on Middle Eastern foreign policy:
“In October 2019, speaking at the national conference of the notoriously anti-Israel J Street organization, and interviewed by former Obama officials Ben Rhodes and Tommy Vietor, both of whom supported the Iran nuclear deal that represented an existential threat to Israel, Sanders curried favor by suggesting that Israel did not respect human rights, snapping, ‘I would use the leverage of $3.8 billion. It is a lot of money, and we cannot give it carte blanche to the Israeli government, or for that matter to any government at all. We have a right to demand respect for human rights and democracy.’ He threatened, ‘My solution is, to Israel, if you want military aid you’re going to have to fundamentally change your relationship to the people of Gaza. I would say that some of the $3.8 billion should go right now to humanitarian aid in Gaza.’ “
On Tuesday, Hamas unleashed 130 rockets upon Tel Aviv, Israel’s second-largest city after Jerusalem. The New York Post reported that air raid sirens sent civilians seeking shelter as Iron Dome missiles were shot into the sky to destroy the incoming rockets from Gaza. During the attack, mosques across the Gaza Strip chanted “God is great,” “Victory to Islam” and “Resistance.”
The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) struck back by targeting weapons manufacturing sites and military facilities belonging to the Hamas terror organization.
In response to HUNDREDS of rockets in the last 24 hours, the IDF has struck a number of significant terror targets and terror operatives across the Gaza Strip, marking our largest strike since 2014.
We are currently striking more terror targets in Gaza.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also issued a response to the Palestinian terror attacks, promising that Hamas would pay a “heavy price” for the unprovoked attacks:
PM Netanyahu:
Hamas and Islamic Jihad have paid and will pay a very heavy price for their aggression. Their blood is on their heads.
This campaign will take time. With determination, unity and strength, we will restore security to the citizens of Israel." pic.twitter.com/FRhEE34hRQ

In the midst of escalating conflict between Israel and Palestine, a Pew Research Center survey of American Jews shows a growing concern of increased antisemitism in the United States. This disturbing form of bigotry reared its ugly head in New York City today:
