The United States withdrew 120 military personnel from Israel and is warning Americans against traveling to the region due to escalating violence in the conflict between Israel and Palestinian territory controlled by the militant group Hamas.
Defense Department spokesman John Kirby told reporters during a press briefing Thursday that the military personnel were from U.S. Central Command and European Command. They were flown out on a C-17 military transport jet to Ramstein Air Base in Germany.
“We made this decision to remove these individuals in coordination with our Israeli counterparts,” Kirby said. He added that some personnel were in Israel ahead of a planned bilateral event, but were withdrawn in response to escalating violence.

Meanwhile, The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan wants to send “an international protection force” to Gaza to counter Israeli Defense Forces operations against Hamas. This from washingtonexaminer.com.
“President Erdogan said the international community should also give a strong and deterrent lesson to Israel,” the Turkish president’s communications directorate said in a summary of Erdogan’s latest conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. “Underlining that works on the idea of sending an international protection force to the region in order to protect the Palestinian civilians should also be carried out, President Erdogan expressed his belief that Turkiye and Russia would display close cooperation on all these issues at the United Nations.”
I believe this is the closest the world has come to an Armageddon in my life time. I’m not comfortable speaking about ‘end times’ and “judgement days’ or especially an ‘apocalypse’ but I’m not afraid to write that I believe the world will undergo much destruction before we get through this mess the Biden people have created.
