W.H. Press Sec. Jen Psaki: Trump Admin Didn’t Do “Anything Constructive” In The Middle East

During an informal press conference aboard Air Force One on Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki made claims that the Trump administration did nothing to promote peace in the Middle East.

“We — the President has reinstated humanitarian assistance and security assistance to the Palestinians. That’s something that was stopped back in 2018 and we felt was not a constructive action by the prior administration.

Aside from putting forward a peace proposal that was dead on arrival, we don’t think they did anything constructive, really, to bring an end to the longstanding conflict in the Middle East.”

Under former President Trump, the United States formally recognized the State of Israel as a country, moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem in 2018. Critics, including Former German Ambassador to Israel Rudolf Dressler, claimed the move could complicate future peace in the region.

“No, I didn’t think it possible because as anyone who has ever analyzed the situation knows, the implementation of such an idea could never provide a sustainable groundwork for a new round of peace talks. And also because the conflicts surrounding the situation would grow so large that the threat of a third intifada could not be ruled out.”

In a Washington Times op-ed, former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker highlighted the positive political implications of the move.

“Failing to put the embassy in the capital would be like foreign countries establishing their embassy to the United States in New York instead of Washington, D.C. While New York is an important city and arguably the financial center of the world, it is not our nation’s capital. Countries that recognize America have their embassies in our nation’s capital . . . I could see that the city, nation and region did not blow up because of the move. And I could hear the overwhelming admiration felt by the Israeli people for our president. Which is why this move is not only good policy, it is good politics, too.”

The panic porn prophecies of a “third intifada” never came to be. In fact, thanks to Trump foreign policy, the world watched in awe as peace began to break out in the Middle East. Last year, the Trump administration delivered the Abraham Accords, a historic peace deal between the US, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain. This agreement was key to unifying the region against Iran, the world’s biggest state sponsor of terrorism.

Last week Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists confirmed that the rockets dropped on Israel (and innocent Palestinian civilians) came from Iran:

As the Palestinian terror group Hamas continues to fire rockets upon mixed Jewish-Arab cities, Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14) and Rashida Tlaib (MI-13) penned a resolution to block the $735 million sale of U.S. precision-guided bombs to Israel. The sale was arranged before the Palestinian attacks against Israeli sovereignty and approved by the Biden administration earlier this week.
