The President said he thinks that those who push to defund the police should be on their own and not rely on the police.

He also pointed out that places that defund the police have crime skyrocket.

President Trump is a smart man, but understanding the many harms of a city defunding it’s police force does not require genius mentality. The following from procon.org.

When police departments’ budgets are cut, violence and civilian injuries increase, and departments turn to “taxation by citation” to raise money.

The level of police misconduct is overstated, more (not fewer) police are being called for in crime-ridden areas, and reforms are both possible and supported by a majority of Americans.

Police departments should not be disbanded, but held to standardized national regulations, which should comply with international human rights laws.

To summarize, America can be made better by a return of city and community leadership pride in law enforcement and police forces, and respect for and support of the police.

The attitude and actions of Obama and his kind sent this important relationship into a tailspin from which a correction is less likely than the downfall of our entire nation.

The police have been stressed to the breaking point and challenged beyond belief by minorities in particular who present themselves as being unpoliceable. For example, had George Floyd not fought his arrest, timely help could have been made available that may have precluded his death from the overdose of the drugs in his system.

Additional police training, as called for, perhaps is necessary, but community leaders must be encouraged to set appropriate examples of police force appreciation and police force support. Defunding police is an ignorant, destructive response to a problem that must be solved to ensure the viability of America.
