Liz Cheney Only ‘Republican’ On ‘Bipartisan’ January 6 Select Committee

RINO Liz Cheney went from 3rd in power in the Republican Party to darling of the democratic party in a matter of months. The Wyoming Rep. was the only “Republican” named to Nancy Pelosi’s “bipartisan” January 6 “Capitol insurrection” select committee. With that many quotes necessary, you just know this is going to be a clown car crashing into a shitshow.

Senate Republicans blocked a previous effort to create a January 6 Commission, so Speaker Nancy Pelosi decided to do a select committee within the House of Representatives. Only Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger voted for this piece of crap among House Republicans.

Pelosi rewarded Cheney’s fealty to the democratic party by putting her on this witch hunt select committee that already has its conclusion that Republicans are responsible for destroying democracy.

As if putting Cheney on this thing wasn’t bad enough, look at the other joke members:

Zoe Lofgren (Calif.)

Adam Schiff (Calif.)

Pete Aguilar (Calif.)

Jamie Raskin (Md.)

Stephanie Murphy (Fla.)

Elaine Luria (Va.)

It should be noted that Raskin, as his first act as a member of Congress, challenged the Electoral College vote of the 2016 presidential election. According to democratic party rules, that makes him a seditious traitor terrorist who is destroying our democracy. Of course democratic party rules don’t actually apply to democrats, so he’s good.

Cheney got the Pelosi seal of approval, which is kind of like getting praise from Satan or Hilary Clinton (same thing):

“We are very honored and proud she has agreed to serve on the committee,” said Pelosi of Cheney.

And then Lost Liz showed everyone why she’s Pelosi’s new pet by issuing this statement:

“I’m honored to have been named to serve on the January 6th select committee. Congress is obligated to conduct a full investigation of the most serious attack on our Capitol since 1814. That day saw the most sacred space in our Republic overrun by an angry and violent mob attempting to stop the counting of electoral votes and threatening the peaceful transfer of power.

“What happened on January 6th can never happen again. Those who are responsible for the attack need to be held accountable and this select committee will fulfill that responsibility in a professional, expeditious, and non-partisan manner.

“Our oath to the Constitution, our commitment to the rule of law, and the preservation of the peaceful transfer of power must always be above partisan politics.”

That’s how you say, “I am not a Republican” without saying you’re not a Republican.

The Hill reports that Republican House Leader Kevin McCarthy is shocked that Cheney accepted Pelosi’s offer:

“I was shocked that she would accept something from Speaker Pelosi,” said McCarthy.

But he wasn’t actually shocked, he was being sarcastic because this is the very next thing he said:

“It would seem to me, since I didn’t hear from her, maybe she’s closer to [Pelosi] than us. I don’t know,” McCarthy said.

Nice one, Kev.

There is no question that Pelosi’s January 6 select committee has already come to a predetermined conclusion before ever meeting or looking at any evidence. The only mystery here is why Liz Cheney still calls herself a Republican.
