When a bunch of Antifa and BLM knuckleheads breached the Capitol on January 6, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was safely evacuated to another building and was nowhere near the “deadly insurrection.” Despite this, she has claimed she was almost murdered. She’s in need of some attention so now she’s adding that she was also almost raped. It will be hard to escalate her lie from this point but I’m sure she’s up to the task.
Democrats have been trying to sell the mild protests at the Capitol on January 6 as a deadly insurrection and the near demise of democracy. The problem is, nobody’s buying it since all of the evidence shows some idiots wandering around the Capitol building for a couple of hours, doing very little damage and killing no one.
AOC is part of that misinformation campaign but really she wants January 6 to be all about her. According to her, it wasn’t so much Trump supporters trying to overthrow the government as it was racists attempting to murder, and now, rape her:
“I think one of the reasons why that impact was so doubled that day is because of the misogyny and the racism that is so deeply rooted and animated that attack on the Capitol. You know, White supremacy and patriarchy are very linked in a lot of ways. There’s a lot of sexualizing of that violence. And I didn’t think that I was just going to be killed. I thought other things were going to happen to me as well,” said Ocasio-Cortez.
So it sounds like what you are telling me right now is that you didn’t only think that you were going to die. You thought you were going to be raped,” said host Dana Bash.
“Yeah. Yeah, I thought I was,” replied Ocasio-Cortez.
Really? Based on what? What made her think she was about to be raped? Unfortunately this was a liberal media interview so there would be no follow-up questions to AOC’s fact-free word salad statement.
Also, nobody from the fake news will point out that AOC’s claim of near-rape goes against the official democratic party narrative on January 6. According to the dems, it was Trump supporters trying to stop the certification of the 2020 presidential election, thus destroying democracy. In AOC’s version, it was sexually frustrated racists trying to rape and kill women of color.
With both versions of the bullshit story, there are a few problems: none of the so-called insurrectionists brought weapons, nobody was killed or seriously injured, and the election was certified a few short hours later. If a group a people were going to try to overthrow the government, what transpired on January 6 was the absolute worst way to go about it.
Another thing AOC is accidentally doing here is blowing up the democrat narrative that the Capitol Police where heroes that day. In AOC’s originally telling of her harrowing experience on January 6, she said that she was afraid a Capitol police officer was going to kill her. Now she’s adding that she feared he would rape her as well. They can’t be heroes and potential murderers and rapists at the same time. Then again, Bill Clinton is to democrats.
I’m trying to imagine where AOC will take this fantasy next. Being raped and killed is seemingly the worst possible outcome so it doesn’t leave a lot of room to embellish. AOC is a socialist, so perhaps a capitalism fate would be worse to her: She was afraid she’d be murdered, raped, and then her corpse being sold on eBay for a huge profit.
