For Some Reason The COVID-19 Numbers In Florida And Texas Keep Getting Overestimated

Despite the liberal media’s insistence that NY Governor Andrew Cuomo did a bang-up job of handling the COVID-19 pandemic, it was red state Governors Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott who were the real heroes. And they did it without lockdowns or mandates. Now that that the liberal media and democrats are scaring the shit out of people with the Delta variant, they are all piling on Florida and Texas as the epicenters of the plague. In shocking, yes shocking, news, the reported COVID-19 cases in those states have been vastly overestimated.

Recently, White House press secretary Jen Psaki used the CDC’s COVID-19 numbers to attack Florida Governor Ron DeSantis but as The NY Post reports, not so fast, Chuckie:

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention adjusted its COVID-19 tracking for the state of Florida on Tuesday as confusion over reporting practices sparked a feud between federal and state authorities.

After the CDC website showed record high numbers for Sunday, Aug. 8, the Florida Department of Health balked, accusing the agency of folding several days of new cases into one.

The gap was significant, with the CDC initially claiming there were 28,317 new cases on Sunday, while the Florida DOH puts that number at 15,319.

On Tuesday the CDC adjusted its number down to 19,584.

After the initial CDC numbers were released, a deluge of negative press directed at Florida and Gov. Ron DeSantis ensued…

But yeah, we should totally trust the CDC on everything else including masking guidelines, right?

Now Texas does have a genuine COVID-19 problem but it’s because the Biden administration has released thousands of infected illegal aliens into communities across the state. Democrats and the liberal media leave out that part when they attack Governor Greg Abbott for the rise in cases.

In what must be a total coincidence, check out this correction the Texas Tribune had to issue:

Correction, Aug. 12, 2021: An earlier version of this story overstated the number of children who have been hospitalized in Texas recently with COVID-19. The story said over 5,800 children had been hospitalized during a seven-day period in August, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That number correctly referred to children hospitalized with COVID-19 since the pandemic began. In actuality, 783 children were admitted to Texas hospitals with COVID-19 between July 1 and Aug. 9 of this year.

That’s one hell of a correction. They were only off by around 700%.

How come these “mistakes” only flow in one direction? It’s always overestimating COVID-19 numbers to embarrass red state governors. The only time there is an underestimation it is to cover up the criminal incompetence of blue state governors like Cuomo and California’s Gavin Newsom.

It was the same way with fake news during the Trump era. The liberal media was in a constant state or retracting bullshit negative stories about Trump, but never once did they have to correct an embarrassing piece for a democrat. Mostly because they didn’t write anything bad about a democrat.

I don’t think anyone reading this believes a word the liberal media says, but this is some more solid evidence that they can’t be trusted to publish the truth. Also, the CDC’s shitty reputation just got a whole lot stinkier.

The only retraction I’m waiting for now is that fake news story that Joe Biden won the 2020 election.
