Kamala Harris isn’t the only one who thinks Americans stranded in Afghanistan is hilarious. When asked what he’ll do if Americans are still stranded in Afghanistan after the Taliban deadline to get out, Joe Biden gave the reporter a smart-ass answer that was apparently meant to be a joke. The actual joke here is Biden who created the catastrophe in Afghanistan and refuses to give any meaningful answers on his sheer incompetence.
Since there’s nothing else important going on in the world today, Biden held a cyber security meeting. He invited the press to hear him read an unremarkable statement and then had the reporters shooed away. As they were being ousted, NBC News’ Peter Alexander asked Biden what he’ll do if there are still Americans stranded in Afghanistan after August 31, the date the Taliban says U.S. must leave by.
Biden can been seen smirking as the question was shouted to him twice. He then decided he would field this one but the White House cut the audio because they knew it was going to be terrible.
Luckily Alexander was able to hear Biden’s response:
I asked President Biden what he will do if Americans are still in Afghanistan after the 8/31 deadline.
His response: “You’ll be the first person I call.”

That’s a good one, Joe.
Biden actually uses this line quite often when presented with questions he doesn’t want to ask. Usually however it isn’t something as serious as stranding Americans in a clusterf*ck he’s created, so this time it was substantially worse.
Later at the daily press briefing, Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked White House press secretary Jen Psaki what Biden thought was so hilarious about stranding Americans:
What’s so funny?

“At the tail end of the president’s remarks today about cyber security, he was asked about Afghanistan and he made a joke. He made a joke. So what’s so funny?” Doocy asked.
Get ready for a typical Psaki non-answer:
“Well, I think the question he was asked if I remember correctly was about when he will provide information about a decision on August 31…Of course it’s a very important question. I think what he conveyed is that — well, what I can convey from here, I should say, is that as he stated yesterday and as the Secretary of State has stated, is we’re on track to complete our mission by August 31. Obviously, there are discussions, and the president received a briefing just this morning,” started Psaki.
If you’re expecting Psaki to eventually address the actual question Doocy asked, prepared to be disappointed.
“These are incredibly serious issues and they are discussion that are happening internally and I’d not that in addition to the contingency plans that he requested, he also, I will reiterate as we stated yesterday this is all contingent on us achieving our objectives and the continued coordination with the Taliban,” Psaki said.
Well that certainly answers nothing. And it’s a really long way to go to not answer a simple question.
The actual answer to Doocy’s question is that Biden expects the media to kiss his ass and not ask anything unrelated to his favorite ice cream. When they defy that, he gets pissed and gives a sarcastic answer.
Now that both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have laughed at the idea of Americans being stranded in Afghanistan, it’s clearly the official White House stance that it’s f*cking hilarious that the Taliban will kill our people.
