Where’s The Outrage Over A Black Cop Killing An Unarmed White Woman For Trespassing?

The Capitol police officer who shot and killed Ashli Babbitt on January 6 has come forward and he is black. That would be irrelevant except that we have a process of racial outrage in this country that says since Babbitt was white and was killed by a black cop, it must be a racial killing. Oh wait, I got that backwards, if it was a white cop killing an unarmed black man, it’s a racial killing. Never mind.

Lieutenant Michael Byrd is the Capitol police officer who shot and killed unarmed Ashli Babbitt as she jumped through a window during the Capitol “insurrection” on January 6. He’s been hiding out for 7 months because he did a really shitty thing, but his bosses cleared him and so he went on NBC to turn himself into a liberal hero:

Besides the fact that Byrd seems mildly retarded, he’s also completely full of shit. Here’s some of the highlights of his interview:

“I know that day I saved countless lives,” Byrd said.

He saved lives by killing an unarmed white woman? What was she going to do? Kung Fu the f*ck out of everybody?

“I know I was doing my job,” said Byrd of shooting Babbitt.

His job is apparently to shoot unarmed women but that seems hard to believe since all the other cops around him, with their guns drawn, didn’t shoot Ashli Babbitt. I wonder if they got written up for insubordination.

Byrd was asked by host Lester Holt if it mattered whether or not that Ashil babbitt was unarmed when he shot her.

“According to law, it does not. I know, based on my training and my policy what I did was appropriate,” Byrd said.

Actually, according to the law a person has to have a reasonable belief his or her life is in danger before using deadly force. An unarmed woman wearing a Trump flag as a cape is not a reasonable threat to anyone, let alone someone holding a gun in his hand.

Also, notice how quickly he pivoted from the law to his own personal policy? He has a policy of blasting unarmed women and therefor, to him, killing Ashi Babbitt was justified.

Byrd also said he pulled the trigger on Babbitt as a “last resort.” I must have missed the video of him using non-lethal means to stop Babbitt before eventually having to shoot her. It looked to me like he shot her before even issuing a verbal warning.

“I believe I showed the utmost courage on January 6,” Byrd said.

Is there anything as courageous as shooting an unarmed woman? Maybe crushing kittens to death or drowning a baby but not by much.

The formula for riots in police shootings is: Race of cop + race of suspect x petty crime = racial killing. Like these ones:

White cop kills unarmed Michael Brown for stealing cigars.

White cop kills unarmed Eric Garner for selling cigarettes.

White cop kills unarmed Anton Sterling for selling CDs.

White cop kills unarmed George Floyd for loitering.

Using that formula, we get this:

Black cop kills unarmed Ashli Babbitt for trespassing.

If the races were reversed, cities would be on fire and all the Target stores would be looted.
