Joe Biden promised he would kick COVID-19’s ass in his first 100 days in office. Here we are 9 months into his illegitimate presidency and the pandemic has no end in sight. According to the White House, Joe didn’t lie and it’s not his fault because Trump told people to inject bleach. Since Trump said no such thing, Biden lied and his terrible COVID-19 response is all his fault.
Next to Trump saying there were good Nazis, there is no bigger debunked lie the left tells about the former president than he said people should inject bleach. White House press secretary repeated that lie when asked why Biden was using Trump-era policies like Title 42, which allows for the speedy deportation of illegal aliens to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.

Psaki probably thought she was knocking Trump down a peg, but all she really did here was admit that Biden hasn’t made any progress in fighting COVID-19. She’s right about that, but completely wrong that Trump ever suggested people should inject bleach to kill the virus.
First off, the liberal lie is that Trump told people to inject Lysol and drink bleach and secondly, that never happened.
Back in April of 2020, Trump gave a COVID-19 update with a medical professional where they discussed 2 things: 1) that Lysol and bleach are effective in killing COVID-19 on surfaces and 2) that UV light also kills the virus. Trump transitioned from the first thing to the second:
“So, supposing we hit the body with a tremendous — whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light — and I think you said that hasn’t been checked but you’re going to test it,” Trump said. “And then I said, supposing you brought the light inside of the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way. And I think you said you’re going to test that too. Sounds interesting,” said Trump.
Followed by:
“And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning. Because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs. So it would be interesting to check that. So, that, you’re going to have to use medical doctors with. But it sounds, it sounds interesting to me,” Trump said.
When Trump says “disinfectant” he’s clearly referring to the UV light technology. He’s pondering the idea that UV light can be injected into the body to kill COVID-19 in the lungs. Liberals could have tried to make fun of Trump for saying UV light could be injected into the body, but as that turns out, it’s a real thing.
Less than a month later, a company developed technology that uses UV light inside the body to kill the COVID-19 viral load. In other words, UV light, AKA the disinfectant, is injected into the body.
Regardless of how you perceive Trump’s statement, he never once told people to inject Lysol or drink bleach.
Biden inherited a Trump-developed vaccine and and solid vaccination distribution plan. He also campaigned on his “way better” plan to knock COVID-19 out cold and yet even the White House admits he hasn’t made any progress in the pandemic.
The fact that Psaki is using the Trump/bleach lie to excuse Biden’s failure to control the virus, proves he never had a plan in the first place.
