Beggars can’t be choosers and when they are, they are losers. The Salvation Army doesn’t just want your money this holiday season, they also want you to apologize for the racism of being white. Apparently they are trying to find a way to make no money for charity this year.
Because Critical Race Theory has been such a colossal flop in schools, the Salvation Army thought they’d try it out in the charity racket. Just The News reports:
As Americans head out on Black Friday to make a dent in their holiday shopping lists, some are sure to come across Salvation Army volunteers ringing bells as part of the annual Red Kettle campaign. But this year, the global charitable organization wants more from its donors than a donation to the needy during the holidays. With the dissemination of a recent Salvation Army guide titled “Let’s Talk About … Racism,” the Christian organization is attempting to elicit “sincere” apologies from white people for being racist.
The guide, which was compiled and approved earlier this year by the International Social Justice Commission of the Salvation Army, aligns the organization with the ideology of the Black Lives Matter, antiracism, and critical race theory movements.
Because of these ongoing struggles for communities of color and, specifically, blacks, the guide suggests the necessity of delivering a “sincere apology” (if you are white).
“We are all hardwired to desire justice and fairness, so the need to receive a sincere apology is necessary. Perhaps you don’t feel as if you personally have done anything wrong, but you can spend time repenting on behalf of the Church and asking for God to open hearts and minds to the issue of racism,” reads the guide.
I’m not sure why leftists think it’s a winning message to accuse non-racist people of racism. When you tell good people they are pieces of shit, they tend not jump on board for your insanity.
This guide was created for and distributed to chapter leaders to train their volunteers. Does this meant the bell-ringers are going to demand you repent for your whiteness before you drop money n the kettle? I’d like to say “probably not” but this is really f*cking crazy, so who knows?
Another question here is, will the Salvation Army be shifting its charity to only benefit people of color? If being white is wrong and racist, how can they, in good conscience, use any funds to support a system of white supremacy?
Also, are they ditching he white bell-ringers in favor of minorities? It would seem hypocritical if they don’t. Now all they have to do is find thousands of black people who are willing to stand out in the cold all day for free. In searching for a picture for this article, I came across zero shots of black Salvation Army volunteers. I’m not saying they don’t exist, but they are rare.
A few years back, Starbucks tried a similar thing in which baristas were told to engage customers in racism conversations. More specifically, how white privilege is keeping the black man down. This obviously didn’t go over very well and they dropped it.
The thing is, people love coffee and were still buying it despite being told they are racist. Donating to the Salvation Army is much less of an addiction and people aren’t going to take shit for trying to do a nice thing. I predict a steep drop in donations, which will then be attributed to the systemic racism in the country.
