It never seemed like it was going to be a “yes” but democrats are still in shock as Senator Joe Manchin has announced he will not vote for Joe Biden’s “Build Back Better” socialist spending plan. The West Virginia democrat announced on Sunday that it’s a big “no” from him on plunging the country further into debt and feeding rising inflation. Naturally democrats lost their collective shit because they are not adults or serious people in any way.
Joe Manchin was on Fox News with Bret Baier when he dropped a bomb on Biden’s agenda:
“I’ve always said this, Bret: if I can’t go home and explain to the people of West Virginia I can’t vote for it. And I cannot vote to continue with this piece of legislation. I just can’t. I’ve tried everything humanly possible. I can’t get there,” said Manchin.
“You’re done? This is a no?” Baier asked.
“This is a no on this piece of legislation. I have tried everything I know to do,” replied Manchin.
Manchin also released a written statement saying pretty much the same thing.
With 50/50 split Senate, democrats couldn’t afford to lose one vote if they hoped to pass this garbage piece of legislation. With Manchin out, Build Back Better is as dead as Biden’s brain. Cue the temper tantrums.
What House press secretary Jen Psaki accused Manchin of being a liar in a statement:
Senator Manchin’s comments this morning on FOX are at odds with his discussions this week with the President, with White House staff, and with his own public utterances. Weeks ago, Senator Manchin committed to the President, at his home in Wilmington, to support the Build Back Better framework that the President then subsequently announced. Senator Manchin pledged repeatedly to negotiate on finalizing that framework “in good faith.”
If his comments on FOX and written statement indicate an end to that effort, they represent a sudden and inexplicable reversal in his position, and a breach of his commitments to the President and the Senator’s colleagues in the House and Senate.
Elderly socialist Bernie Sanders was also pissed because he’ll have to keep representing Vermont in a non-communist country. On CNN, Sanders said Manchin, “will have a lot of explaining to do to the people of West Virginia.”
“West Virginia is a great state, beautiful people, but it is a state that is struggling, and he’s going to have to tell the people of West Virginia why he rejects what the scientists of the world are telling us, that we have to act boldly and transform our energy system to protect future generations from the devastation of climate change,” said Sanders.
West Virginia is a coal-producing state and BBB would have put half the people out of work. Bernie Sanders thunks he’s shaming Joe Manchin for not voting for something that would annihilate the people of his state.
Sanders finished by calling Manchin a coward:
“Let Mr. Manchin explain to the people of West Virginia why he doesn’t have the guts to stand up to powerful special interests,” Sanders said.
Black skinhead Ayanna Pressley said Manchin “has continued to move the goal posts” adding he “has never negotiated in good faith.”
“We cannot allow one lone senator from West Virginia to obstruct the president’s agenda, to obstruct the people’s agenda,” Pressley said.
Actually, it’s 51 Senators who oppose BBB and that’s more than half the people’s representatives so clearly socialism is not the “people’s agenda.”
And finally, Jihad Squad brother-humper, Ilhan Omar, had some blue language for Manchin:
“We all knew that Senator Manchin couldn’t be trusted. The excuses that he just made, I think, are complete bullshit,” said Omar.
No, spending trillions of dollars we don’t have to turn the U.S. into a socialist hellhole is bullshit. Standing up to that unAmerican agenda is called courage.
