Remember how the democrats blew the Virginia governor’s race when their candidate, Terry McAwful, told parents they weren’t entitled to have a say in their kids’ education? Well, Michigan democrats are doing the same thing, basically saying that parents of the state can go f*ck themselves if they think they should be involved in what their children learn. Ironically, it’s clearly democrats who have a hard time learning anything.
On Saturday, the Michigan Democratic Party posted this fun thing on their Facebook page:
Not sure where this ‘parents-should-control-what-is-taught-in-schools-because-they-are-our-kids’ is originating, but parents do have the option to send their kids to a hand-selected private school at their own expense if this is what they desire.
The purpose of public education in public schools is not to teach kids only what parents want them to be taught. It is to teach them what society needs them to know. The client of the public school is not the parent, but the entire community, the public.
Not only do the democrats say parents don’t deserve to be involved in the children’s education, they actually admit that the purpose of school is to indoctrinate children in the ways of lefty wokism. Once again the democrats accidentally reveal their evil agenda. If you aren’t full of shit, you never have to worry about saying the quiet part out loud.
It’s unclear how long this ridiculous post was up but the democrats eventually deleted it. They then tried to cover their ass with this bullshit:
Well no, it didn’t ignore the important role parents play in their kid’s education, it told parents to f*ck off. If that isn’t the view of the Michigan Democrats, why did they post it on their Facebook page in the first place?
If the Michigan dems truly believed that parents play an important role in public schools, they wouldn’t have made a post that states the exact opposite of that. There is no missing context or misunderstood nuance, they want parents to STFU and accept leftist indoctrination. Period.
What this sad excuse is really saying is: “We realize the public is horrified by our views so we’re goin to pretend it was an honest mistake.”
Interestingly enough, Michigan’s horrible governor Gretchen Whitmer is up for reelection in November. No doubt she fired off an angry e-mail to the Michigan Democrats, telling them to save this kind of talk until after she’s reelected. She saw what happened in Virginia with Republican Glenn Youngkin wiping the floor with the democrats over this same kind of thing.
Democrats love using the Maya Angelou quote, “When someone shows you who they are, believe them” to attack Republicans, but they’re the ones who keep revealing their inner awfulness. They are racists, tyrants, and liars. They show this over and over again but for some reason too many people ignore it.
