On his European vacation, Joe Biden told U.S. troops they were being deployed to Ukraine, threatened to use chemical weapons on Russia, and called for Vladimir Putin’s removal. All three of those statements had to be walked back by the White House but Joe had a better explanation: he didn’t mean what he said and he never said those things in the first place.
Biden said this when he met the 82nd Airborne in Poland:
“Ukraine, but also the average citizen. Look at how they’re stepping up. Look at how they’re stepping up. And you’re going to see it when you’re there. You’re gonna see, you’re gonna see women, young people standing standing in the middle from a damn tank each just saying, “I’m not leaving,’” Biden said.
In the same press conference where Biden promised food shortages in the U.S, he was asked if Putin used chemical weapons on Ukraine whether it would trigger a military response from NATO.
“It would trigger a response in kind,” replied Biden.
At the end of his speech in Warsaw Biden said of Putin, “This man cannot remain in power.”
There’s no ambiguity in the things he said, but as Fox’s Peter Doocy would find out, none of that happened and Biden did mean it.
“I know you’re going to ask a really nice question,” smirked Biden, calling on Doocy.
“Well it’s an important question, I think. Are you worried that other leaders in the world are going to start to doubt that America is back if some of these big things that you say on the world stage keep getting walked back?” Doocy asked.
“What’s getting walked back?” Biden said.
Well, this:

“Just in the last couple days, it sounded like you told U.S. troops they were going to Ukraine, it sounded like you said it was possible the U.S. would use a chemical weapon, and it sounded like you were calling for regime change in Russia,” Doocy said.
“None of the 3 occurred,” Biden shot back.
Doocy couldn’t believe his ears but there were about to get even more astounded.
“You interpret the language that way. I was talking to the troops. We were talking about helping train the troops in that are the Ukrainian troops that are in Poland. That’s what the context. I sat there with the guys for a couple of hours. That’s what we talked about,” said Biden.
“So when you said, ‘you’re going to see when you’re there” you were not intending,” Doocy said before being cut off.
“I was referring with being with and talking with the Ukrainian troops that were in Poland,” Biden said.
“And when you said a chemical weapons use by Russia would trigger a response in kind?” Doocy asked.
“It will trigger a significant response,” Biden said.
“What does that mean?” Doocy asked.
“I’m not going to tell you. Why would I tell you? That would be silly,” said Biden.
Well, if there’s one thing Biden does know about, it’s being silly.
Basically this is Biden saying, “Everything I say is bullshit.” And to prove how full of shit he is, he adds, “Plus I never said that stuff that everyone heard me saying.”
