The Biden administration recently announced the creation of a Disinformation Governance Board, AKA The Ministry Of Truth, to tell the American people what they should believe. They put Nina Jankowicz, a known purveyor of disinformation in charge, but just 3 weeks in and The Ministry of Truth is kaput. Naturally liberals are blaming Fox News for the demise.
The Washington Post’s Taylor Lorenz, herself a font of disinformation, reports that The Ministry of Truth has been back burnered:

If by “coordinated right-wing attacks” she means people naturally reacted badly to the Orwellian nightmare of the government telling people what to believe, then Lorenz is correct.

Nobody is more tore up about the death of a government group no longer censoring opinions and controlling the information we’re allowed to know than the liberal media, so here’s MSNBC’s Sam Stein naming a suspect:

Nina Jankowicz dismissed Hunter Biden’s laptop as a “fairy tale,” pushed the discredited Steele Dossier, and was a huge proponent of the debunked Trump Russian Collusion lie. All of this is disinformation and she was put in charge of deciding what disinformation is. What’s really “wild” is that Fox News was the only media outlet that mentioned any of this.
Now here’s where things get a little complicated. Since the Buffalo shooting last Saturday, democrats, led by Joe Biden, have said the intend to crack down on free speech under the guise that it radicalizes people. The Disinformation Governance board was set up specifically to do such a thing and now they’re saying they’re pausing it. My guess is, The Ministry of Truth hasn’t been paused but rather hidden elsewhere in the Department of Homeland Security.
It was obviously a huge mistake for the Biden administration to announce The Ministry of Truth and public reaction was largely negative. As such, they’ve absorbed it into other departments. There will still be partisan government employees cracking down on dissent and censoring information that’s embarrassing to Biden, it just won’t be under a banner department.
And let’s be honest, the liberal media is the democratic party’s Ministry of Truth already. They protect Joe Biden at all cost and disseminate regime disinformation and propaganda.
