LA DA Who Won’t Enforce The Law Demands Tougher Gun Laws

George Gascon is the Soros-backed District Attorney for Los Angeles County, who has simply refused to enforce the law. Since he’s taken over, crime has skyrocketed in LA because criminals literally have no fear of prosecution. In the least self-aware move of the week, the DA who won’t enforce the law is demanding tougher guns laws.

California has the toughest gun laws in the country, none of which George Gascon will prosecute, especially if the perpetrator is a person of color. Despite that, the Buffalo shooting has him demanding even tougher laws, not just for California but the entire country. Spectrum News 1 reports:

Los Angeles County’s top prosecutor called Wednesday for implementation of “reasonable gun control” in the wake of three recent mass shootings in Orange County, Buffalo, N.Y. and Milwaukee that left nearly a dozen people dead and almost 30 injured.

“I’m holding this press conference today to remind leaders that thoughts and prayers are not enough. They have never been enough. We must demand action. We need to implement reasonable gun control,” said Gascon.

Get ready to for a liberal definition of “reasonable.”

The district attorney said people should not have access to military-style assault rifles or so-called ghost guns — the latter of which are typically assembled from purchased or homemade components and lack serial numbers by which they can be identified.

A complete ban and confiscation of semi-automatic rifles is not reasonable, it’s extreme. Also, it’s unconstitutional but I don’t get the impression Gascon knows all that much about the law.

“We’re in this position today because we have leaders in our country who are willing to disregard public safety, sell assault rifles to 18-year-olds, spread racist hate if it helps them win elections and offer a false narrative that locking out the mentally ill, the homeless … is somehow going to make us safer,” Gascon said.

Gascon has let violent offenders including murderers and child molesters walk free. That’s way more of a disregard for public safety than attacking our Constitutional rights. And for the record, it’s not racist to say mentally ill people shouldn’t be walking the streets but it would definitely make everyone safer if they were locked up either in prison or a treatment facility.

The district attorney added that gun violence continues to be a major problem in the United States, with that violence being “driven by many forces which our elected leaders have the power to address.”

George Gascon is an elected official who has the power to address violence but choses not to. He could prosecute violent criminals, even ones caught with illegal firearms, but his approach is to let them go because it advances the cause of racial justice according to him.

Speaking of racism, that’s Gascon’s excuse for the violence destroying LA and other major cities with Soros-backed “justice reformers” like him:

“It should be of no surprise that racially motivated crimes have increased since unscrupulous and right-wing politicians and commentators began embracing hateful, racist rhetoric to appeal to their base to win elections. That has to stop,” Gascon said.

Seeing as how almost all racially-motivated crimes involve black thugs attacking Asians and whites, it’s difficult to believe they were inspired by Republicans. It’s a lot more believable that the increase in all crime, including black-on-everyone else hate crimes, is because liberal assholes like Gascon have decriminalized crime for black people.

One of Gascon’s first orders of business was to get rid of sentencing enhancements including hate crimes. If punching an elderly Asian lady in the back of the head isn’t a crime and there no chance to be charged with a hate crime, where’s the deterrent?
