Back in March Joe Biden called for Vladimir Putin’s assassination and told U.S troops they were going to war with Russia. The White House had to walk back those statements because Joe’s word is as good as his memory. The White House has to once again walk back Biden’s threat of military action, this time against Chine. Crazy Joe said he would send U.S. troops to defend Taiwan against a Chinese invasion, something that goes against our commitment to the region.
The “One China” policy basically says that the United States recognizes Beijing as the representative government of China but doesn’t necessarily consider Taiwan to be a part of China. In the separate Taiwan Relations Act of 1979, the United States is committed to providing Taiwan with arms for defense but does not allow for U.S. troops to be a part of that.
In recent years, especially since Biden took over, China has been flexing its military muscle with Taiwan, leading most to believe they will invade. On his trip to Asia, Joe was asked what he’d do if China tried to take Taiwan:
“Are you willing to get involved militarily to defend Taiwan if it comes to that?” a reporter asked.
“Yes. That’s the commitment we made. That’s the commitment we made,” replied Biden.
No, it’s really not.
“Look, here’s the situation. We agree with the ‘One China’ policy … but the idea that to be taken by force, just taken by force, is just not appropriate,” Biden added.
Again, the “One China” policy says we recognize China but not that Taiwan is part of China. The Taiwan Act says we give Taiwan arms, but not U.S. troops, for defense. Biden is confusing the 2 and adding the lie that we have a legal commitment to send our soldiers in Taiwan’s defense.
According to The Hill, the White House was forced to clarify Biden’s remarks:
The White House shortly after the press conference reiterated Biden’s comments that the U.S. position on Taiwan has not changed and it still abides by the “One China” policy, which recognizes Beijing as the representative government of China but considers Taiwan’s status unsettled.
Yes but that doesn’t address the fact at Biden said the U.S. would get involved militarily if China invaded Taiwan.
And just in case the liberal media tries to pretend that Biden didn’t threaten military action against China, China sure seems to think he did:
In response, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin expressed “strong dissatisfaction and resolute opposition” to Biden’s comments.
“China has no room for compromise or concessions on issues involving China’s core interests such as sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Wang said.
Biden’s handlers must have given him a stern talking to about spouting off because later in his Asia trip he was asked about North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un:

WT actual F? Hello? Period? Did he read that off the teleprompter?
Once again Biden shows his weakness of both mind and leadership on the world stage. Earlier in the year Biden was in Europe and threatened Russia against invading Ukraine, which they promptly did. Now he’s in Asia threatening China against invading Taiwan. The smart money says China will invade Taiwan any day now.
