The inflation numbers are to and it continues to rise. Current the inflate rate is 8.2%, which is horrible by any standard. Joe Biden is done trying to spin these numbers and now is just straight up lying. In Los Angeles, where gas is almost $7 a gallon, Biden said he’s fighting inflation because he brought gas prices down. Well said from a man who doesn’t know his ass from his head.
Biden was in LA, visiting a subway construction site, claiming it was the result of his infrastructure bill, even though the LA subway system has been under construction for decades. Before that however, he wanted to address the grim economic news of the day:
“Let me say a few words quickly about today’s refort on inflation. Americans are squeezed by the cost of living. It’s been true for years,” started Biden.
Well actually, it’s only been true for a year and half. The day before he took office, everything from food to gas to housing was affordable.
“Fighting this battle every day is the reason why I ran for president of the United States,” said Biden.
That’s interesting. He ran for president to fight inflation that didn’t exist until he stole the presidency and created it. How does that even work? The only way this makes any sense is if he’s saying he ran for president to cause the massive inflation that is crushing the people of this country.
“Today’s report though shows some progress. Overall, inflation was 2% over the last 3 months. That’s down from 11% from the prior 3 months. That’s progress,” Biden said.
No, that’s a lie. Inflation is 8.2% and it rose 0.04% from last month. The way Biden tells it, he reduced inflation by 9% over the last 6 months and that’s complete bullshit.
Speaking of which, here’s some more as Biden explains how he miraculously brought down inflation:
“Part of it is getting the cost of living at the gas pump down by more, now even California, by more than a dollar, nationally since the start of this summer,” said Biden.
The average gas price in Los Angeles County, where Biden stood and told these lies, is $6.61 a gallon. During the summer it was $5.61 a gallon. That’s a rise of a dollar a gallon, not a drop.
“I couldn’t disagree more with my Republican friends who say the biggest problem in our economy right now is that working folks are making too much money. No, that’s the argument. Workers are making too much money and too many people are working. Too many jobs are being filled. I think that’s a buncha, I ree arrey suh, a buncha malarkey,” Biden said.
Really? Which Republicans have complained that too many people are employed? This is another pathetic lie to help distract from the mess Biden has made of our economy.
Biden continued to attack Republicans by saying they want to get rid of the deceptively named Inflation Reduction Act which he claimed would wipe out “your savings on utility bills.” When did we get savings on our utility bills? My utilities are way the f*ck up over what they were 2 years ago when Trump was President.
And Biden finished with this doozy:
“Refublicans wins inflation’s gonna get worse. It’s that simple,” said Biden.
I think he was trying to say that if the Republicans win back the Senate and House in the midterms that inflation will get worse, which is biggest lie of the day. This runaway inflation is mostly due to the insanely reckless spending spree Biden and the democrats have been on. When Republicans control Congress, there will be no more bullshit spending bills. Period.
