Commentary for A Sunday: Blacklisted

The term “blacklisted” has been around for a long time. It certainly was in use during “The McCarthy Era” and the “Red Scare.”

Was McCarthyism wrong and was branding people as “Un-American” really “Un-American”?

Considering our present state of tyrannical political control in America, many of us are thinking, ‘more and for a longer duration would have been better.’

Perhaps what America could well use now is a re-do of blacklisting Hollywood figures, business leaders, the mass propaganda media, members of congress, the deep state, etc., etc. for the communist sympathies they harbor.

This from redstate.com.

For many of us, the extent of our childhood McCarthy-era understanding is minimal—that occurred in the late 1940s and 1950s—before our time of political interest.

But the primary takeaway was that a lot of people lost their jobs over their political views simply because others did not share or care for those views. And the process is back upon us as the tables have been turned one hundred and eighty degrees.

Yes, imagine that—communists are now blacklisting Patriots.

And next, if this craziness is not crushed quickly enough, we who partake of Def-Con News may very well be targeted for what we write and what we read.

As reported on Monday, independent journalist “Kanekoa” posted an eye-opening thread regarding some of the inner workings of tech titan Google:

Like the #TwitterFiles, the #GoogleLeaks include screenshots of internal Google documents (originally released in 2019 by software engineer Zach Vorhies) that purport to show how algorithms were manipulated to censor conservative and populist content, including blacklists of numerous right-leaning sites, RedState among them.

Though it hardly comes as a surprise to learn that we’ve been intentionally throttled by Google, it highlights the uphill battle we’re waging on a daily basis.

Reach is key, obviously, and yet, that reach is being hamstrung by the tech gods.

That we thrive in spite of that constraint is a testament to the quality content provided at RedState and the support of our valued readers.

NOTE: Def-Con News readers, we CANNOT remain merely content to accept the scraps the compromised mass propaganda media afford us.

Part of the solution is developing a parallel economy—one that isn’t beholden to the woke [tyrants] that populate much of Big Tech.

By utilizing the newer, more right-of-center tech firms and broadcast corporations we cease to contribute to that which is working toward our demise.

For example, CNN has finally been forced to close their Atlanta flagship building.

Many of us remember depending on the information provided by CNN broadcasts while in combat and while undergoing Iraqi Scud attacks–what a long way CNN has sunk since those times of crucial importance.

May this be remembered as the beginning of CNN’s demise.

Further, our refusal to patronize producers and businesses that live and breathe the Party Line will greatly aid our efforts.

Yes, this is hard to do. There are so damn many of them, but every little bit we can do to limit our exposure to them will help our cause.

Final thoughts: I’m reminded, although the battle is still Informational and has not yet gone Kinetic, we are at war—a war We the People must win.

God speed to President Trump and God speed to The Plan.
