There were two major media firings Monday morning, one was expected and the other comes as quite a shock. First CNN fired the dumbest guy on TV, Don Lemon, then Fox announced they were parting ways with Tucker Carlson. Lemon is no loss because nobody watched him, but Carlson is a ratings juggernaut, so something must have happened.
After years of lowering CNN’s journalistic standards, the fake news network’s worst diversity hire has been shown the door. Making this even funnier, it looks like Don Lemon was fired with a tweet:

CNN didn’t have much to add, merely publishing this:
CNN has parted ways with longtime host Don Lemon.
“Don will forever be a part of the CNN family, and we thank him for his contributions over the past 17 years,” said CNN CEO Chris Licht in a statement. “We wish him well and will be cheering him on in his future endeavors.”
CNN This Morning has been on the air for nearly six months.
“We are committed to its success,” Licht said of the morning show.
The only thing that is shocking here is, how this took so long. Lemon is a mental midget, a complete hack, and he reportedly treats his staff like shit. Plus, he’s a ratings black hole, like the one he thought swallowed up the missing Malaysian airliner, so this move makes sense.
One that makes no sense is Fox kicking Tucker Carlson to the curb:

Fox News also didn’t go too deeply into their personnel move:
FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways, the network announced on Monday.
“We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor,” a FOX News Media spokesperson said in a statement.
An interim program, “Fox News Tonight,” will air at 8 p.m. ET until a permanent replacement for Carlson is named. “Fox News Tonight” will be hosted by a rotation of various Fox News personalities.
The last edition of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” aired on Friday, April 21. The show began airing in 2016.
Before the launch of “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Carlson was co-host of “FOX & Friends Weekend” from 2012 through 2016.
Carlson previously served as an MSNBC host from 2005-2008 and also appeared on CNN earlier in his career. He founded The Daily Caller in 2010, but sold his stake in the political news website in 2020.
Chances are, this is related to Fox’s recent $787.5 million settlement with Dominion Voting Systems. Rather than fight for the truth about the 2020 presidential election, Fox cowardly settled and now it looks like they are throwing their talent under the bus. Is Sean Hannity next?
Carlson absolutely crushed his time slot, so Fox must have been pretty desperate to find a scapegoat for its cowardice. Why not shitcan Geraldo Rivera? He’s completely worthless and it wouldn’t affect the ratings at all. In fact, more people would probably watch if Geraldo was gone.
The question now is, who are they going to find to replace Tucker Carlson. Since Fox seems to be moving in a CNN direction, maybe they should offer Liz Cheney his slot.
