Bernie Sanders is a career politician who has never had a real job in his life. He’s a millionaire communist hypocrite who thinks your money, not his, belongs to people who didn’t earn it. He’s old enough to remember when indoor plumbing was a new thing and he just had a heart attack. There’s a lot of reasons not to vote form him and he has a lot of problems but his skin color isn’t one of them. CNN however has a major problem with Bernie’s whiteness, but not Joe Biden’s, and mocked him for being of the caucasian persuasion.
Following Thursday’s unwatched democratic party debate, CNN assembled a crack team of liberal analysts to break down a thing nobody cares about. Former Hillary Clinton senior advisor Jess McIntosh kicked things off by declaring Bernie the big debate loser for basically being too white.
“We saw Bernie Sanders sort of revert to his 2016 race issues, where he got asked a direct question about race and he tried to pivot to climate change and he got called out on that. He made that joke about also being a white guy which fell really flat,” said McIntosh.
“I felt that he came out as a white guy last night,” joked host Alisyn Camerota.
Not bad. Not only did Camerota mock Bernie’s whiteness, she threw in a bit of homophobia with that “came out” bit. If this had come from a Fox News host it would be an outrage, but CNN is held to a much lower standard.
Now here’s what all the fuss is about. For the latest democratic debate, the party of diversity made sure that it was mostly white people on the debate stage. People of color Kamala Harris (dropped out), Cory Booker, and Tulsi Gabbard were not invited with only token Asian guy making the debate. Sanders was asked what he thought about the lack diversity and he answered by talking about global warming. The moderators interrupted him and reminded Sanders that the question was about race, so he made global warming about race.
“People of color, in fact, are going to be the people suffering most if we do not deal with climate change,” said Sanders.
Nice pivot. Bernie then went on to say everything is racist so America needs a white guy.
“And by the way, we have an obligation up here, if there are not any of our African-American brothers and sisters up here, to speak about an economy in which African Americans are exploited, where black women die three times at higher rates than white women, where we have a criminal justice system which is racist and broken, disproportionately made up of African Americans and Latinos and Native Americans who are in jail. So we need an economy that focuses on the needs of oppressed, exploited people, and that is the African-American community,” said Sanders.
Then after claiming everything is about race, he claimed race doesn’t matter:
“I’m white as well! Here is the issue. The issue is where power resides in America, and it’s not white or black or male or female. We are living in a nation increasingly becoming an oligarchy, where you have a handful of billionaires who spend hundreds of millions of dollars buying elections and politicians,” Sanders proclaimed.
In addition to being white, Sanders is also quite wealthy. His actual message is: white guy is gonna end racism and rich guy is gonna end greed.
I’m not trying to defend Bernie Sanders here. He’s an anti-American communist who shouldn’t be a U.S. Senator, let alone President of the United States, but there are plenty of reasons besides his skin color to disqualify him. CNN mocking his whiteness is like complaining that the biggest problem with Jack the Ripper was his top hat.
Also, let’s not lose sight of the fact that an all-white CNN panel just bitched, “OMG, Bernie Sanders is too white!”
