Americans across the country are watching a tale of two Americas unfold before their eyes.
In cities run by the Left, streets fill with protesters and chaos seems to be the new normal. Trash piles up, businesses close their doors, and residents wonder if things will ever improve.
This from the patriotjournal.com.
Meanwhile, something curious is happening in the polls. As the media screams about President Trump’s supposed cruel immigration policies, regular Americans are seeing things differently. The same policies that news anchors denounce around the clock are actually gaining support from unexpected places.
The surprising truth? President Trump’s deportation policies are actually boosting his popularity, especially among groups the Left assumed would oppose him. Former Trump Chief of Staff Mark Meadows recently pointed out this remarkable trend.
From Blaze News Tonight:
‘And what’s happening to President Trump’s poll numbers among those who have come here as immigrants is going way up, but not just for those who say, ‘I want to secure the border.’ It’s the people who have come here legally and said, ‘Listen, we need to control the border,” Meadows said.
This shift makes perfect sense to anyone outside the media bubble. Legal immigrants followed the rules, waited in line, and respected American laws. They do not want to see others cutting in line or bringing crime to their communities.
Christopher Bedford from Blaze Media explained:
The Democrats have really tried to typecast different groups into one homogeneous thing.
He noted they mistakenly lump all immigrants together, not realizing that legal immigrants often live in the very communities negatively affected by the illegals.
Americans voted for border security when they elected Trump. As BlazeTV host Jill Savage explained:
Elections have consequences. This is what the American people voted for, this was one of the very central issues of the Trump campaign.
Now that those promises are becoming reality, the agents tasked with securing our borders feel supported again. Under The Regime, Border Patrol and ICE agents often felt their hands were tied while trying to do their jobs.
Meadows explained:
The men and women who serve in ICE and Border Patrol, they’re having none of it. They’ve got a president who has their back, they have the president’s back, and the American people will see the difference.
The Left’s strategy has backfired spectacularly. By assuming all immigrant communities would oppose deportations, they revealed how little they understand about these voters.
Legal immigrants often feel the impacts of illegals most directly. They live in the affected neighborhoods. They compete for the same jobs. And they resent the implication they should support lawbreaking simply because they share a similar background with those entering illegally.
Bedford hit the nail on the head:
[The Left’s] reads on everyone seem to be incorrect.
This miscalculation explains why Leftist strategists are scratching their heads as Trump’s poll numbers climb.
As the administration continues implementing its border security plans, the contrast between campaign promises and actual results matters more to voters than angry headlines. Americans of all backgrounds are showing they prefer safety and order in their communities over the chaos we see in protest-filled cities.
The message from voters is becoming clearer each day:
[E]nforcing immigration laws isn’t controversial
outside of newsrooms and elite circles.
For most Americans—including those who immigrated legally—it is common sense.
