Forbes estimates Micheal Bloomberg’s worth at around $35 billion. I don’t know what his monthly bills are like, but I have to believe he’s got a few bucks laying around that he could spare to finance his anti-civil rights agenda. In fact, the former NYC mayor has committed $100 million to help electing gun-hating democrats in the midterm elections, and yet he’s begging for money to finance this gun control push. Why is it that all democrats seem to know is taking our freedom and taking our money?
USA Today reports:
Democratic lawmakers, gun-control groups and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are teaming up for a 24-hour fundraising blitz to help pro-gun control candidates “take back seats from the gun lobby.”
The group aims to raise $1 million in 24 hours on Oct. 5 with appeals to supporters through email and social media.
The candidates they’re supporting – dubbed “the NR8” – are in close races against incumbents with A ratings from the National Rifle Association in districts Clinton won as a presidential candidate in 2016.
And here is that group who needs your money so they can help elect democrats who will take your rights away:
Along with Clinton, Sens. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Cory Booker, D-N.J., Kamala Harris, D-Calif., and Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., and House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer, D-Md., are among more than a dozen lawmakers who will ask their supporters to contribute. Joining them are the progressive group MoveOn and gun control groups Everytown for Gun Safety, Giffords, Moms Demand Action, Pride Fund and the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.
All of these lawmakers, as well as Hillary Clinton, are exceedingly wealthy and could very easily finance this endeavor themselves without asking for your money, but it’s in the gun control groups where this thing gets truly ridiculous. Everytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action are faux grassroots anti-gun groups owned and financed by Michael Bloomberg. As I pointed out, he could more than afford to pony up a million bucks for this circus.
Then there’s this, from The New York Post:
Mike Bloomberg is digging deeper into his vast fortune and will spend $100 million to try to flip the House to Democratic control in the midterm elections, according to a report Thursday.
Bloomberg had pledged $80 million earlier in the year to help elect gun-hating democrats and now he’s added another $20 million to the effort. That is to say that this effort to bankroll gun control candidates is already funded. They don’t need any more money because Michael Bloomberg has it covered.
It’s not like these democrats have to grovel at Bloomberg’s feet to get this extra million dollars, he’s clearly involved in the effort. And the fact that he’s involved really means that he’s part of the group that’s doing the begging.
Is it just me or does it seem like kind of dick move for democrats to be begging for money from average working people when their billionaire benefactor has the money and the willingness to pay for everything? Dems need another million? Get it from rich uncle Bloomy and let everyone else pay their bills.
