Liberals have come up with a lot reasons why Trump should be impeached, none of which come close to meeting the standards of “high crimes.” They think he should be impeached because the Mueller report exonerated him, because they say he’s racist, but mostly because they don’t like him. Out-of-work whatever she is Chelsea Handler is demanding Trump’s impeachment because he said that some people own AR-15s for recreational use. Good luck with that.

While visiting the UK, President Trump did an interview with smarmy antigun Brit Piers Morgan. Morgan is a huge Trump fanboy, but he’s also vehemently against the right of private gun ownership so he challenged the President on it.
“I don’t understand, never have understood, why anyone in America needs a semi-automatic AR-15 assault rifle at home. Why do they need them?” Morgan asked.
“Well, a lot of them used them for entertainment, they do,” Trump said.
“Are guns entertainment?” Morgan said, interrupting.
“For some people, it’s entertainment, they go out and they shoot and they go to ranges and they have a tremendous amount of fun,” said Trump.
Okay, Trump is saying that some people own guns like AR-15s for recreational use, which is deffintaley covered by the 2nd Amendment’s right to keep and bear arms. There are no provisions in the amendment saying people have to use guns for specific purposes nor are there requirements to prove a need before gun ownership rights kick in. People can own and use guns for any lawful purpose, something the the Supreme Court agrees with.
There is nothing remotely controversial about what President Trump’s said, which means it’s times for liberals to freak the f*ck out. Chelsea Handler polished off a bottle of cheap gin and got on Twitter mad as hell:

Well no, drunkie. Stating a fact is not grounds for impeachment. Look it up in the Constitution, I think you’ll be surprised.
It’s not like Trump said shooting kids with an AR-15 is entertainment as Handler is alluding to. He was pretty specific about the shooting range thing.
Also, who are these thousands of parents who are grieving because their kids were murdered by someone using an AR-15? There haven’t been anywhere near a thousand kids shot to death by an asshole with an AR-15. I’d be shocked if the number even tops 100.
Handler’s premise is that because thousands of kids have been murdered by people with AR-15s (not true) that no one else should be able to use one recreationally. Thousands of kids are killed in car accidents annually so does that mean NASCAR shouldn’t exist? Or that people shouldn’t be able to restore classic cars? Better yet, abortion kills a million kids every year so does that mean youth sports are out?
Handler can’t wait to elect a president who will stand up to the NRA, which is funny because she doesn’t have the ability to elect anyone as a single pathetic drunk. She tried to elect Hillary Clinton and failed, so why does she think she’ll have any more success in 2020?
Because she’s drunk, she probably doesn’t realize that she took a shot at the past two democratic presidents. Neither Bill Clinton nor Barack Obama “stood up” to the NRA and according to Handler that makes their leadership qualities less than real. She’s half-right in that Obama and Clinton were poor leaders, but it’s not because they didn’t dismantle the nation’s oldest civil rights group.
Since Robert Mueller spoiled liberal fantasies of getting rid of Trump over the Russian collusion myth, they are resorting to crazier and more delusional reasons to oust him. If he ate a peach they’s say “Impeach him!” If he had an after dinner mint it would be “It’s impeachmint time!” From now until the end of his second term, everything he does will be used an an excuse to call for impeachment.
