Hold me. I’m scared. One of the signs of the apocalypse just showed up in the pages of the The New York Times. Babbling lunatic Nancy Pelosi made an astute observation and she did it without raping the English language. Compounding matters, what she said was based on fact. When Pelosi is making sense, the complete destruction of our world can’t be far behind.
Pelosi did an interview with the NYT and of course they were talking about Trump. The interviewer attempted to make some kind of joke about the President and his war with the liberal media. Something about this joke made the normally incoherent Pelosi snap and she had a rare moment of clarity.
“May I say something you’re not going to like? I think the press loves him. All day on TV — and I don’t even watch TV, except sports. But he says somebody had a horse face — all day we hear about that. We hear about Kanye West, all day. You just give him all day!” Pelosi said.
The the weirdest thing is, Pelosi is 100% right. The press is completely obsessed with Trump and they be lost without him. CNN would be dead air space (deader) and the NYT would be nothing but mattress sale ads. Not only did Pelosi say something that makes sense, she’s actually giving the press shit for wall-to-wall Trump coverage.
It can almost be looked at like she’s accusing the liberal media of being “fake news” in the Age of Trump. This would be problematic if it came from Trump, but since Pelosi is a democrat this wasn’t an attack on freedom of the press or the destruction of democracy.
Like I said, when Pelosi starts making sense, we’re probably in for some Biblical destruction, but we may be safe. After this lucid thought, Pelosi went right back to her crazy old self, so rather than one of the Seven Signs it could have just been some schizophrenia rattling around in her brain. Here’s the rest of her quote:
So I don’t want you to think I’m making an analogy, but Mussolini, he didn’t care what they said about him, as long as they were talking about him.”
Look at that. Pelosi compared Donald Trump to Mussolini. She’s still crazy and all is right with the universe. I’d have felt a little better if she had compared him to Hitler, but this will do.
Pelosi also called Trump “grotesque” and accused him of trying to annihilate the country:
“He’s trying to destroy the collective consciousness of our country,” said the woman whose consciousness is altered by the advanced stages of dementia.
Also we definitely need a fact-check here: This country doesn’t have a collective consciousness, liberals do. People on the right can think for themselves while those on the left all believe the exact same thing they are told to think.
Finally, Pelosi described President Trump as a “very dangerous man” and suggested that as the next Speaker of the House she would use subpoena power to get back at the Republicans for, “what they did to us.” She never explained what the Republicans did to the democrats, but she doesn’t have to explain herself; she’s a democrat.
Okay, that was a false alarm. I thought for sure with Pelosi making some sense that plagues of frogs and fire raining from the sky was next. She’s still as cuckoo as ever and we can all rest assured that the next two years are going to be hilarious.
