Every year right before the holidays liberals start putting out these “think pieces” about how to talk to your relatives about stupid leftist whacko bullshit. They have even invented the “racist uncle” straw man as the target of these liberal holiday ruining conversations. What liberals don’t get is that they are the family member nobody wants to talk politics with. They are the ones that everyone dreads talking to over the holidays. As proof of this, a Hollywood director is recalling how he went off on his conservative brother-in-law, accusing him of killing children because he supports the 2nd Amendment.
Scott Derrickson directed Dr. Strange and The Exorcism of Emily Rose. In his free time he’s a liberal kook who specializes in making Christmas dinner as uncomfortable as possible. Check out this tweet that he’s way too proud of:

I don’t actually believe this happened, but I can’t prove that so let’s have some fun breaking down what he thinks was a bold political statement.
Derrickson claims he has a brother-in-law who voted for Donald Trump and supports he Constitutional right of gun ownership. In his telling of the story, the brother-in-law was cordial and didn’t strike up any political conversations. Then, out of the blue, Derrickson calls him a “redneck motherf*cker” and accuses him of killing children. This is not something a rational or sane person would do, but Derrickson is patting himself on the back over.
One of the major reasons I don’t believe the story is because if it were true it would have ended with Derrickson getting beaten to a pulp. He’s a scrawny little soy boy and there’s no way the brother-in-law would have just sat there and taken this kind of shit from him. As polite as the brother-in-law comes off in the story, I have to believe he would have pounded this little twerp for ruining Christmas this obnoxiously.
What this tweet is really saying is what a close-minded asshole Derrickson is. Anyone who doesn’t agree with his crazy fact-free liberal ideology is subhuman scum in his mind. Actually that just makes him a typical intolerant liberal.
Derrickson thinks his brother-in-law is an “ignoramus” for voting for Trump. He think’s his sister’s husband kills children because he supports the NRA. When has a law-abiding NRA member ever killed anyone, let alone kids? As leftist lunatic, Derrickson most definitely supports Planned Parenthood who kills hundred of thousands of children every year. He’s the one that has blood on his hands, but his conservative brother-in-law was nice enough not to bring that up at Christmas dinner.
I spent Christmas Eve with my family who have a variety of social and political options that differ from mine. They know what I’m about and I know what they think, but for some reason we all just got full, got drunk, and had a great time talking about stuff other than politics. Did we do it wrong?
If you are in a social situation, the last people you ever want to be around are liberal nutjobs. You can never have a normal conversation with a feminist, environmentalist, or anti-gun kook. They don’t know how to talk about anything other than their crazy irrational positions.
On the off-chance that Derrickson’s story is real, I think it’s a safe bet he won’t be invited to Christmas dinner next year. His family will make some kind of excuse because they probably aren’t as rude as him, but he’ll be spending the holidays alone.
