The democrats tried: “Trump is a racist…Trump is a white supremacist…Trump is a Nazi…Trump is Hitler…Trump is worse than Hitler…” but none of that stuff really stuck. In the evolution of demonizing the freely-elected President of the United States, the democrats are now trying to characterize Donald Trump as a terrorist. With control of the House, the democrats are getting rid of a terrorism subcommittee in favor of one that will investigate President Trump for terrorism or some crap like that.
Democrats never have original ideas and take their marching orders for the Central Liberalism Authority. Today’s memo instructed the democrats to play up Trump as a terrorist. Earlier California Rep. Katie Hill obeyed her orders by accusing the President of “political terrorism.”
Then, as reported by The New Yorker, the democrats are using their newfound power in Congress to investigate the scourge of Trump’s terrorism:
Congressional committees, like the priorities of the politicians who run them, change with the times. On Wednesday morning, Eliot Engel, the Democratic congressman from New York who has just taken over the chairmanship of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, sank into an oversized leather chair in his office and told me that his first act as chairman will be to create a new subcommittee devoted to investigating President Trump.
After the 9/11 attacks, Engel’s predecessors on Foreign Affairs set up a new terrorism subcommittee, which underscored America’s sudden, obsessive focus on countering such threats. It is telling that this is the subcommittee that Engel will now eliminate in favor of his new investigative panel. There “wasn’t a great clamor” to keep the terrorism panel, Engel told me, whereas there is no end to the Trump foreign-policy scandals that his members are pushing to investigate. “We just thought, if we’re going to do something relevant in this era where Congress is going to reassert itself, where there are so many questionable activities of this Administration vis-à-vis foreign policy, that it made sense to have this.” Trump, in other words, is a bigger threat than terrorism. That may be the biggest manifestation of Trump Derangement Syndrome yet. Hysterical democrats hate the President so much that they are abandoning a subcommittee on terrorism to investigate Trump’s foreign policy, which they believe is a bigger threat. This is yet another way that democrats are telling the American people to ”f*ck off.” The message here is that getting rid of the guy we elected to run the country is a bigger priority than our safety.
Here’s a fair question: what are President Trump’s foreign policy scandals? That he pulled out of the shitty Iran nuclear deal? That he renegotiated NAFTA? That he got North Korea to the table to discuss denuclearization? That he defeated ISIS and wants to bring our troops home? This is all good stuff that if a democrat had done it would be praised by the democrats. Instead, it’s scandalous.
Democrats shut down the government because they refuse to fund even modest border security, mostly just to spite Trump. Now they are completely ignoring terrorism in favor of a sad attempt to topple the President. The democrats’ mad obsession with undoing the will of the American people threatens the safety of the American people. There actually is a bigger threat to this country than terrorism and it’s the democrats having any sort of power.
